Mark and Jessie were great when facilitating making glass sun-catcher crafts with a large group. It was a very enjoyable experience and Jessie did a great job helping everyone and making sure everyone in the group could hear and understand her instructions. I would do this again!

If you are looking for a fun and informative time, you need to come here! We had a reservation for a "Flame Your Own" session on a Sunday and it was by far one of the best experiences we have had. We were greeted by Mark, who showed us what our project options were. Something quite unique about this place is that you could come here 20 times and make something different every time. There are many projects listed for a Flame Your Own with standard pricing, but Mark explained that you can tweak certain base projects to make them more complex. I love the idea that you can really choose exactly what you're creating that day since Mark gives you so much choice. We ultimately chose a crazy-eyed penguin and Mark's famous creation: a cootiebug. As you get the process started, you are given glasses to protect your eyes while looking at the flame. Mark makes sure you have the right size glasses before getting started showing you the basics of what you'll be doing when the flame is turned on. You get hands on, one on one instruction throughout the project and Mark is SO good at describing what and why you're doing what you're doing as you go along. He gives you a ton of control, which I never would have expected in an environment like this. There is a lot of trust involved and I really respect and admire his teaching skills and glass knowledge. We learned so much and we had a total blast making our precious and silly creations. We were celebrating a birthday during our Flame Your Own session and Mark made sure to make the occasion so awesome with fun picture opportunities and ensuring the finished products were perfect upon pick up. I am so over the moon about this business and I'll be telling everyone I know that they should come here to do a project. We will be back flame another project and we definitely want to try the other instructional class fusing glass at this location. Thank you for making this day so amazing and a wonderful memory that we will cherish forever! We are so happy with our little glass friends.

We had an amazing time exploring the flameit! workshop. It was an incredible first experience working with glass. The best part was being able to work side by side with the owner, Mark Payton, a very knowledgeable person in his craft! Mark was amazing, friendly, kind, gave great instruction as my wife blew the glass. Let us get excellent pics and videos and the experience was top notch. Inexpensive for what it was too, it could have easily cost twice as much to build ypur own glass like this. Great fire breathing pictures and slow mo video at the end too!

My family and I went in over thanksgiving weekend 2023. We stayed over 2 hours and had a blast! Kids are 10 & 13. My daughter wanted to make Stitch and he had never done that and tried it out with her - Mark was patient and fun! Really fun time and incredibly affordable! We will be back next time we are in town!

We have had multiple interactions with Mark and not only is he professional but also kind, patient, knowledgeable, and understanding. He is excited and passionate to share his craft. He possesses all the great traits a good teacher should. I would definitely recommend booking a session with him. He gives you 100% of his attention. It is a shame that one bad post on social media could hurt years of hard work and dedication when people are ignorant to a situation. I know that he works hard and is very customer oriented. This was an incredible experience! Although the website to make an appointment is not very user friendly, PLEASE do not let that deter you from visiting this amazing location! Call Mark or Jennifer to get information about how to make a one of a kind gem. We happened to walk in and lucked out that they had an opening, but I would recommend calling first. They will tell you all you need to know. Prices are very fair, and there is no time limit on how long it takes to make your piece. I told them when I left that I will come back every time I visit Louisville. This has been a dream of mine since I was a kid because my great grandfather was a glass blower, so although you don’t actually do glass blowing, learning a tiny bit of this craft was a dream come true! Do yourself a favor, and enjoy an hour or so with a true artist, take home a souvenir, and learn something that you will not learn from the average person. I can’t wait to go back!

What a wonderful experience. I was a little apprehensive about the price at first but want to head with it anyway. All I can say is that is definitely worth the money. The kids had an amazing time and shared a valuable experience that they will never forget. It’s rare to have an opportunity for your kids to be creative in a very hands-on environment like this. Would recommend 100%. My kids said that it was one of your favorite things that we have done all week and we have done some really amazing an expensive things.

What a great afternoon spent with Mark! His vast experience shines through as he makes everything seem so effortless. He took the time to explain and walk through every step. He was funny and very personable. He obviously loves what he does. We picked 3 different pieces to make and that was a good thing since each one had a slightly different technique. Our pieces were ready the next day, though some may take a week and need to be shipped. We had a teen and a preteen and they both enjoyed it. It was quite mesmerizing just to watch him work!
