I love the place, very authentic and food was good. Portions are big so be aware. Personal pizza is more than enough for one person. Smashing tiramisu!Food: 5/5
No one can seem to get a white pizza order done correctly. First time trying this place out. I thought the instructions were clear. They were clear enough that the pizza was cold when I picked it up. Basically, there seemed to be enough time to let the pizza sit and get cold, but not enough time to quality check the order and make sure the order is what was ordered. I don't think I'll give this place another try. It's disappointing when a simple one topping pizza without sauce is difficult to make when it's scheduled beforehand for pickup.
Me and the wife ate here the food was very good we both enjoyed it, the food look smelled and taste good we were for getting to take pics before eating Food: 5/5
I have been a customer for almost 50 years and this is NOT Marras. The grandchildren should be ashamed of ruining the name of their grandparents. Gravy so different it was flavorless. pasta mushy and tiny portions. calamari frozen. chicken parm was beyond unrecognizable.. sliced cheese? i actually cried last night at dinner because the entire package was not my MARRAs. plastic bowls and wine carafes, no Chianti? bread was three tiny slices thrown on the table while walking past. servers openly eating at the bar while seating customers. and i saw a group of servers picking thru a returned dish looking for a “something” before i heard one state: oh , i see it! just throw it out”. Worse than bad food, bad service and bad presentation: last night broke my heart.tradition of my Italian restaurant died at Marras last night.
Lovely, traditional family restaurant in the heart of East Passyunk with classic delicious foods and desserts. Wonderful atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff. The owner is a delight... very personable and proud of the restaurant's heritage. I was allowed to see the original brick pizza oven built by the owner's father. I totally recommend a visit! Neighborhood cornerstone Marra’s is where you go to feel at home. With a wide array of old school classics this place has something for everyone, vegetarians and meat lovers alike. While many will tell you to go for the pizza, we usually order pastas, salad, and some very reasonably priced wine. The pasta alla vodka with no prosciutto is perfection.
This was my husband and I first time coming to this place. The atmosphere was very quiet, old style Italian restaurant. Our servicer was great! Very polite and attentive. Now, the food was a great disappointment. Especially with all the views I've read about this place. So to come here and get tasteless food was very disappointing and shocking with the " so call" great rep they have built for years. I'm a chef myself and I'm truly embarrassed with what came out for us to eat for lunch. And for $66 and change its not worth spending your money here.
Had an incredible evening with friends at Marra's in South Philly! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a group get-together. Every dish was a hit, from the authentic wood-fired pizzas to the rich, creamy pastas. The service was attentive and the prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. Definitely a must-visit for anyone craving Italian in Philly!
They have the best pizza in Philly. Their antipasto is awesome as well. I had other dishes too. They were awesome also. Reasonably priced and great service. Food: 5/5
I got Alla Penne Ala Vodka, Magherita Pizza, Alla Bianca Pizza. The pasta was good, I love it. The pizza is big, the "personal size" is enough for 3 of us.
