I lived in a property under this management company for 3 years. Never was late on my rent and took care of the home I lived in. I was never a problem tenant at all. I requested to break my lease due to a job location. Everything went smoothly, with listing the home, they were able to get a new tenant in the home very fast before any money was lost. Hence, because I keep the home cleaned. Nadine, was very attentive and responsive throughout the entire process and very helpful. When it was time for me to move I made sure the home was cleaned, carpets shampooned, etc. I was supposed to do my final walk through with John, but he called and said he was in traffic. So my walk through was never done. Of course, I took pictures of the entire home as my evidence of how I left the home upon my move-out. After the fact, I notice it was over 45 days and I never received my security deposit. So, I called and ask where was my SD. I was told that John never gave the landlord the final walk through paperwork, SMH. I finally received my security deposit back and they took $1500 from my security deposit. Wait..what?? They charged me $900 to paint, $200 for items left in the home the items left in the home were items already in the home, so why would I take them with me they charge me $200 to replace a blind that was already broken when I moved in and it was listed in my move in walk through SMH… and $200 for cleaning the home which I had it professionally cleaned. How are you charging me $900 to paint ? I was a tenant for 3 years, isn’t this wear and tear. You can pay your rent on time and keep the home in good condition and get it cleaned after you move out and they still take all your Security deposit…,what’s the point??? So disappointed by all of this and disgusted!!! Put something in the lease asking tenants to paint the walls, so they won’t get this outrageous charge of $900. Please do better!!
I laud the job that John Lesniewski does. One suggestion, I would like to see periodic inspections of the rented property. Two of the the three tenants I have had so far have completely trashed the house, painting and adding sheetrock without permission, trashing the garage, the basement, and the back yard.
I worked with John and his associates through MD Property Mgmt from 2018 until 2020. They were very professional and prompt to communicate with us. We were able to address any issues with my apartment which were few quickly and successfully. Michelle was helpful and always available to reach out to the apartment owners on my behalf. My wife and I had to break our lease to move and because of the professionalism of John and Michelle, we were able to do this smoothly. I would definitely recommend their services to tenants and landlords.
