Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls was a letdown. The bread was soft, moist, and fell apart. I expected toast. The lobster meat was also weak, lacking texture. Eat bite was a dodge of a shell spec. I forced the second half down; to clear the plate. There was too much mayonnaise on the sandwich. I had more lobster tips of meat than I did the juicy parts. The sandwich had more knuckle and claw portions than the fleshy arm or tail portions. Thank you for the experience, Mason’s; I know enough!
I had a great time here yesterday! I got the Connecticut roll, and as many have stated it was absolutely DELICIOUS. Warm, buttery, but still crispy bread. Rich flavor of the lobster. I went in the middle of the day around 1pm so it was pretty empty. I would HIGHLY recommend this place. The staff was nice, and patient as I took my time trying to decide what I wanted. I’ve been wanting to go here for a while, and I will def go again. I wish I had tried the Mac and cheese and the soup but today was a bit hot for soup. The Mac and cheese was pretty pricey along with the roll ~$15 for Mac and cheese, $20 for the roll. Great space, and great location. Clean and cool overall. Drinks are a bit limited a few sodas and old style juice, might benefit from a soft drink machine maybe?, I wonder do they have any rewards or promos? Last point: I will say, you will probably be hungry with just one Connecticut roll. It’s a good serving, but not a ton. Like a very fat hot dog bun. You kinda want two, especially with all the flavor lol.
These 20-dollar lobster rolls will leave you feeling hungry still but are so freaking delicious. My friends and I devoured these rolls within minutes. The service was friendly and fast. If you're on a budget, I wouldn't recommend this place, but if you want a flavor blast come here.
Pretty solid lobster roll, but inflation is making these rolls so expensive... $20 for one pretty small lobster roll. Service was great and people should def at least try it! Well known Francisco in Maryland
Hellooo!!! As a seafood lover I wanted to try mansons lobster roll... I had read in a article that they are great here!!! This restaurant has no table service, you order in the counter and then wait for your food. The place is small and it also has some tables outside. My lobster roll was fantastic. Bread was good too. Also a pickle comes with it. Yummy!!!
Mason's is a casual place with both indoor and outdoor seating. Not a good picture, but the food was really good. We got a Connecticut Roll, which is lobster and butter, and the special, which was a Crab roll. Both were delicious! The bread was warm, crusty outside and soft inside. There were generous amounts of both the lobster and the crab and were not swimming in butter. We ordered a side of cole slaw, which was also well seasoned and flavorful. Definitely would go back.
I was hesitant to try this place out since there are some mixed reviews… but overall I think it’s worth it! For the price it’s unbeatable the Connecticut roll with lobster bisque came out to $25. The ladies at the counter were very nice as well, so I’m glad I went!
Delicious. The staff was helpful and friendly. The food was delicious. I had the Connecticut and the clam chowder. Would highly recommend if you’re in the area. It’s not cheap - about $19 per roll and then added charge for drinks or soup - but well worth it.
10/10 - these lobster rolls were life changing. And the lobster mac-n-cheese was divine! I would eat here every day if I could!! Would love to have a location in the Harrisburg area so I could become a regular! The staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the selection was great! Would 100% revisit!
I wanted a light meal so ordered a lobster salad instead its famous lobster roll. Perfect lunch choice for a hot summer day. Lobster is fresh and tasty. The salad costs $17 and I feel it is a bit pricey. But I would still recommend trying this restaurant when you’re in Baltimore.
