Study #2:
At Massachusetts General Hospital, we are seeking healthy volunteers for our research in childhood depression. You and your child may qualify to help in this important research for children.
We are comparing children of parents with a history of depression to those with no history of depression to see how their moods, behaviors, and brains may differ. If your child is age 8 to 14 and neither parent has ever been diagnosed with depression or bipolar disorder, you and your child may be eligible to participate.
Participation involves:
- For parent: Answering questions about the moods and behaviors of both parents and the child in a short interview and completing some questionnaires.
- For child: Completing a brief cognitive test, one questionnaire, and a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan that takes pictures of his or her brain.
You will be compensated up to $120 for completing the study.
If you would like to learn more about this important research, please contact Tara at 617-724-2551 or [email protected].
Our program aims to help identify, prevent and treat individuals and families afflicted with emotional, developmental, and behavioral problems, with a special emphasis on attention deficit disorders.
