find yourself a better place to stay. you would be most welcomed if you wanted to experience being a desperate new yorker. one lesson learnt is to treat yourself a little bit better at least a good apartment to stay with better, more profesisonal maintain support and without expired beeping fire alarms, stolen amazon deliverables, and cockroaches

Best management company in the east village. The staff are extremely responsive, friendly, and empathetic. I recently signed my third lease and it was so easy! The property managers were so patient with all my questions and offered me soup from B&H during the lease signing. They helped me move into my apartment and gave me an antique lamp that compliments my apartments decor. Such thoughtful people. 10/10

Lived in a Matel building for two years and was fine with the service. Then a homeless person started living in the stairwell and Matel refused to properly handle the situation. They wouldn't give me the contact info of the company that owned the building to talk to them, and did very little to remedy the situation. Moved out.

I have lived in a building they owner for almost two years. They have been nothing but helpful and responsive with any issues we've had thus far. Any maintenance issue, they send someone the same day when possible. Highly recommend them!

Very disorganized, Rent went up more than other units in the area.. did not respond to packages stolen in building. would not recommend.

Do not rent from Matel Realty. Theft, cockroaches, expired fire alarms and they are unwilling to help

Bad building security, fake security cameras in the lobby. Does not respond to residents stealing packages.
