Trolley travel is an experience you must try in Boston before it disappears!
Nice, little station. Mattapan trolley and bus connections. Also my home neighborhood.
This Station is the main connecting area of Mattapan, MA. there R are various busses U can catch from this Station. Buses to Stations such as Forest Hill, Ruggles, Jackson, & Quincy Center. The historic bucket of bolts Mattapan Green Line Trolley that'll bring U to Ashmont Station. That's where U can connect to the Red Line Train which wil get U to Cambridge, MA.
We were from out of town and took this into the city instead of driving in . Let me say as a word of advice to drive in further or go to the riverside stop off the green line instead. The train /trolly was very run down and the people riding it were kinda sketchy. Not to mention you still have to get off and transfer onto the next train on the red line. The only positive is that there is a lot of parking and it’s near a police station in cases there was going to be any funny business. We were visiting on a Sunday and I wish I had ventured further in . I was scared away by the possible lack of parking . But in hindsight I wish I had gone in further and not stopped at this station.
Buses are always running late and the station is always not clean their be garbage on the ground and spit and cigrettes on the side walk from customers
T keeps a good schedule
This part of the red line only runs restored MBTA PCC trolleys.
Nice place to see trolleys in the yard.
