I felt the Food was fairly priced for the quality. The blueberry chicken sanwhich had a balanced spicey and sweet flavor profile. I would definitely get it again. The frys were crispy and delicious. The chicken tenders were also great and the garlic frys were a must have...Food: 5/5
This is your standard American diner serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. We are a couple in our 40's travelling alone and went to maxies for breakfast. There was a 20 minute wait but they texted when the seat was ready, so you could find shelter from the heat in nearby stores. We had Mimosas, the Hawaiian omelet and the breakfast burrito. The omelet was very good and the breakfast burrito hit the spot. No complaints about the food, it was very good. The service was a little slow and the place was a little wide open felt kind of like a dining hall more than a restaurant. Overall, it's a great breakfast place and we will return on our next trip. Pro tip: if you're staying in the Horseshoe hotel, take the exit downstairs by the food court/monorail and walk across the road towards the high roller. Maxies is right there and its a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
Affordable prices, under $20/meal + drink. Eggs Benedict box seemed fun but the hollandaise sauce was lacking something and the poached eggs were off as well- nicer than a Denny's down the block atmosphere and service wise. Server was incredibly attentive.Food: 4/5
Good food and great service. It was a looong wait to get in but was worth it. We had a large party of 8 and all of us liked our entrees. Portions were large enough as well. Dietary restrictions: They were able to substitute Egg whites for whole egg omelette.
Food was good and staff were friendly. Moderately priced and tables were clean. They don’t have a restroom inside. Need to go outside to a shared bathroom on the street to wash your hands. Would recommend this place if you are looking to dine in and eat decent food near the strip.
Maxie's is highly overpriced for Bland and mundane food. There is nothing special served at this restaurant, and what they do serve is pedestrian at best. The prices are equivalent to a nearby restaurant that carries a five-star rating for a reason. I recommend considering other places nearby that have much better food, much better atmosphere, and at least equivalent prices if not better. I ordered the chicken and waffle which was extremely disappointing. The chicken was bland and flavorless with soft breading while the waffle was slightly raw in the middle and relatively tasteless. The hot honey they serve is nothing more than hot sauce Frank's mixed into some honey. It is runny and tastes gross. For 23 plus dollars, they surely could get better fried chicken and at least finish cooking the waffle.
I like being able to get a table outside and enjoy the breeze while eating. Service is nice and food is delicious. I really like that they come and take pictures of you.Food: 5/5
Good location for breakfast if you are staying on the Linq Promenade or heading to see some day views on the high roller. Give them your phone number if there's a await and they text you when table is ready. Fruity pebbles french toast sounds fairly sweet but isn't if you hold the cream cheese. If you accidentally touch your arm to the plate you may get a happy face in icing lol. Chicken and waffle wasn't bad. Breading wasn't really sticking to the chicken and ended up getting all over the waffle. If someone comes by your table and wants to take your picture it's to sell you a photo package for like $40... 1st photo is claimed to be free. Just be aware and don't get pressured into buying it the frame. Doesn't look bad though.
The Eggs Benedict probably caught your eye. Please let me deter you, it was well overhyped. It was a huge hunk of bread and spinach. There are so many other places within a 3 minute walk that do better eggs bennys, as well as pancakes. Pancakes weren’t fluffy, hollandaise sauce lacked the necessary flavor. It was very mediocre. Service was whatever. Would definitely never go back and never recommend eating here. I’m sure they have a good burger or something, but don’t waste your time going to breakfast here.
Great options on the menu. Awesome service. Food was great with a large portion size.Food: 5/5
