A great farm in Phoenix. Now it is solar pv powered. Photosyenthisis too for growing .
My review is for the fall CSA. The CSA lasts for 6 weeks but I only completed pickup for the first 3 weeks as I experienced some hiccups. My household had a hard time using this CSA due to the limited variation of produce provided, and I was disappointed with the customer service / communication. Personally, I feel the veggie basket is not as great a value as others available in the Phoenix metro area. The items were too repetitive and duplicates of herbs easy to grow at home. See end of review for outline of items received each week. I never received email confirmations from Maya's Farm after my PayPal purchase for the CSA or in advance of weekly pickups. There were even times when the CSA pickup was moved to a different date or location due to the holidays, as the fall CSA spans Thanksgiving and Christmas and it would have been nice to be alerted of this in advance. Instead it was up to my own initiative each week to find where my veggie basket was. I requested over email, phone, and written note at CSA pickup to receive emails but never saw one. Ultimately, 3 weeks into the CSA I requested to be removed from the remaining weeks. No contact from Maya's Farm, and lost money. Wk 1: 6 eggs, 2 yellow onions some had water damage, 1 spring onion, bag of white beans, bag of salad mix, basil bunch, 2 lettuce bunches. Wk 2: 3 radish bunches, 2 bags of salad mix, 2 lettuce bunches, 1 white onion, rosemary, garlic, cilantro, bag of white beans. Wk 3 - sunflower stem, bag of white beans, dill, 2 radish bunches, bok choy, 1 white onion, 2 bags of salad mix, 3 lettuce bunches.
