Amazing, amazing park. It is big enough for everything. Workout, biking, jogging, walks, picnics anything you want to do. It even has a playground for kids but it closed due to the virus. It has a nice lake with swimming ducks different from the river. It’s a beautiful, relaxing area.

This place doesn't exist. Don't go here. There's absolutely nothing there. There's no beautiful scenery. There's no boardwalk and bike path through a marshland populated by all sorts of wildlife. It's just a void on the shore of Newark Bay. All kidding aside, it's so peaceful and quiet since it's this little hidden gem. The sunsets are *stunning*. There's several species of bird you can spot over the course of the year. There's even a family of skunk hiding out in the bushes. The northern section of the park has a butterfly garden planted and maintained by a local group that is just so beautiful once everything is blooming. My wife and I will take daily strolls through the park just to escape to nature, even if just for an hour.
Rutkowski Park is a hidden gem in Jersey City. Easy access to river, board walk and just cool vibe. I went during a rainy day and it was spectacular. Worth a visit or regular visits. If you like bird watching, you'll be in for a treat.
Nice park to walk yourself or your dog. He loved it and it was fun. Not the cleanest body of water but still worked at tiring our puppy out.
Enjoyed a very peaceful and pleasant walk here. I enjoyed birdwatching. There is a little booth were you can hide and peak through some holes to watch the wildlife. Feel free to bri g your camera as well because you are gping to want to take many pictures here. Aside from wildlife, There a beautiful view of the bridge. The view is amazing. I come here all the time as it is also connexted to the main park.
Used the nature walk for exercise. While the route is good with the sites and sounds of the birds along the inlet providing tunes to keep you going. The only downside is parts of the wooden path is starting to show ware, the county needs to repair and restore some patches. Toilets: Restrooms are located at southern end of the nature walk.
Awesome place to watch and photograph wildlife. Love walking down the dock and seeing what's new. Great place to take a walk and take pictures!!!
A nice small park for jogging, walking the dog, fishing by the rip-rap rocks, and taking nice photos of the sunset across Newark Bay. There is a small sandy beach too, but be careful with broken glass pieces. Check out the ancient crane, a museum piece, that was used by Electric Boat Company of Bayonne that manufactured the famous PT boats of World War II. No barbecuing allowed in this park. Trash and recycling bins are ubiquitous along the paths but sad to note that some people would rather toss trash and plastics outside the bins. A wooden deck allows you to sit and watch the bay and sunset. If bored, you can walk to Bayonne Park via the ecological boardwalk that traverses an interesting tidal flat where you can observe wildlife birds, ducks, fish, etc. Along the boardwalk are stations where wildlife pictures are posted in case you'd like to identify the wildlife you see. If you'd rather bike or jog to Bayonne Park, you can take the longer, paved pathway along the shoreline. For those doing long distance hiking and using GPS: note that you will not be able to safely walk to Jersey City or anywhere north from this park because of the busy Route 440; you will have to go back to Bayonne Park where you most likely started.
Nice walk along the marshy area. Saw a lot of birds! Dog-friendliness: Nice boardwalk, so it has walkers and runners. And dogs!
