McConnell's Fine Ice Creams - Santa Barbara

Famous ice cream location on State Street. Expect a line out the door. I would not call this great ice cream, but it is really good. They have lots of fun options like unicorn sprinkles and cow chow (you'll have to visit to find out what these are). They have lots of home made flavors and varieties including a few non dairy. The line was longer than we would wait for ice cream of this caliber, but it was the whole experience that made it worthwhile. We had fun watching people go by and meeting other people in line.

Our experience was flawless. We passed up our opportunity to indulge a year ago due to a long line. I wish we had known then how fast the line would move. This time around we made it up to the ordering area in no time at all. They offer samples in actual spoons (not the cheap disposable plastic spoons). Our server was very pleasant and patient while we selected to perfect flavor and serving choice. We will be back again before we leave Santa Barbara.

The line was long but certainly worth it! My daughter is highly allergic to nuts and I wasn't sure if we would be able to have an ice cream for her. However, the team was so accommodating! My daughter enjoyed a double scoop of nut free ice cream that was not cross contaminated! It meant the world to us! Thanks so much! (We ❤️McConells!)

The ice cream here is the absolute best I’ve had in Santa Barbara! There’s so many flavors to choose from and you can mix and match to fit your ice cream needs. You can even make your own ice cream sandwich which is what I did. The snickerdoodle and sweet cream combination was amazing! I’d 100% recommend this place and that specific combination, trust me.

Fun location! We sat upstairs and enjoyed our ice cream. So many unique flavors to choose from and you can taste before you decide. They have complimentary water, a small outdoor patio but plenty of indoor seating. Fun vibe, yummy ice cream a favorite stop when in Santa Barbara!
