McCool's Flooring

I recently shopped around and compared prices for vinyl plank flooring at six different stores in Hendricks County, and McCool’s was by far and away my favorite. Brad was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly, and I was able to borrow many samples during my search to view in my space at home. Their prices were right in line with all the other stores I visited, and when I found one store that offered a lower price on my selected product, Brad said McCool’s would match the price. Not only was I able to get the best price, but I also know I received the best service from the best store. I’m so very thankful for our wonderful experience. I’ll definitely be returning for all future flooring needs!

I went into Mccols flooring for Mohawk flooring and asked for a price match. I was gonna use a company online, but they were charging shipping so I didn’t want to use them if I could just pick up the flooring local. But the pricing was great. Brad was so nice and helped me. Told me my flooring would take 6 weeks. I was so thankful for the price match and the fact that I didn’t have to pay shipping because I could pick up from them. I was called early and told my flooring was in. Excited I scheduled my installation right away and went to pick up my flooring. I ordered 36 boxes and only 2 boxes was there. I sat there for an hr for them to figure out where my flooring was. Thankfully my contractor said he would pick it up all the way in Kokomo and I would just have to pay. So I did so that I could get my flooring installed. 1 box was damaged so Brad placed an order for new flooring box. While picking up a new order from a different company separate order I called and asked Brad if the box was ordered at this place. Since I’m here I can pick it up. He told me it wasn’t there and he doesn’t know when it would be ready. I told him I was disappointed and he then went on to say that I lied to him in the beginning. Shocked I asked him where is this coming from. He told me that I didn’t tell him the other company was charging shipping. I was like I did. That’s why I came to you is because I didn’t want to pay shipping. I could just pick up my order. He began yelling at me and told me I will get the flooring when I get it. Im shocked. I asked for his manager to give me a call a week ago and nothing. I paid for my flooring in fill the day I ordered. I had no reason to be treated like this all because I expressed how much of an inconvenience this had been. Maybe if I never expressed this to Brad he wouldn’t have yelled at me and accused me of lying when he’s the one who approved the price match.

I purchased laminate and carpet . First the salesman Brad was very knowledgeable and patient and answered all my questions . The installation was flawless with two separate crews one for Laminate and a different one for carpet . Both crews were very clean , they picked up all their trash and disposed of it as they were working . The crews showed up on time and did a great job ! If I ever need flooring again for this house or another I will definitely use McCools !!

Love this place for flooring and carpet. Huge variety, friendly service. Always quality choices on sale. They never forget a customer. I bought carpet over 2 years ago, walked in for more carpet and they called me by name as I walked in the door. Installers are professional.

The salesperson was very knowledgeable of their products and was not pushy not attempted a lot of upselling. In fact, he was kind enough to point out a similar product on sale. We will be back. The carpet installers, a man with many years experience and his two sons were highly professional and efficient. They did ma a perfect job.

When I came into the Carmel store, I knew just what I wanted. Heather encouraged me to look at a similar product that happened to be on sale. She saved me a lot of money for the same quality of carpet. Everything from that visit to our carpet installation was friendly and efficient.

My wife and I were in Avon shopping for some wood laminate flooring for our first try at a DIY installation. We noticed McCool’s on the way to the discount place in Avon that we were heading to. After not finding anything we liked or getting any help, we circled back to McCool’s to see what we could find and we couldn’t be happier. Brad was amazing. After listening to our planned application, he suggested vinyl. In my mind, vinyl was some awful, cheap-looking and fragile stuff. I was so wrong. Brad explained that in my application LVP would wear much better than wood and there was a huge variety to choose from. We found some Mohawk RevWood that was beautiful. Who knew? After receiving the flooring, prepping the room and watching about a bazillion YouTube videos we were ready to start. Well, no not really. I should mention that I’m not “handy”. “Hopeless” would be a better description of my skills. After a couple of difficult weekends where we couldn’t get the planks to stay clicked together, I was ready to pull it up, paint the plywood brown and call it a day! I called Brad for help. He had Billy call me. Billy gave me some tips over the phone, and I was confident I’d be able to get things to work now. Nope. My incompetence won yet again. When I still failed to get things working, I let Billy know. He came out to the house and spent about an hour SHOWING me how to do it and what I was doing wrong! I can’t thank him enough for that. Several SIMPLE things I was doing wrong that none of the YouTube videos covered. After Billy’s visit, I was able to install the floor myself! I still had some difficulty but now at least I could see what I was doing wrong and correct it. I cannot recommend McCool’s enough. They really took care of me. Especially Billy and Brad. They’re a bit more expensive than some other options, but their quality is exceptional and the support I received was priceless.

I recently made a carpet purchase from McCool’s Flooring and I’m extremely pleased with the results. Brad Mitchell was an excellent salesman - very informative and not pushy whatsoever. The Installers were very timely, polite, and wrapped up the job rather quickly. I would highly recommend McCool’s to anyone in search of high quality flooring. You won’t be disappointed.

Purchased our flooring material in mid December. Salesman told me the installer would call us once the materials came in. After waiting around for a few weeks, I called McCool's to make sure the materials were in, which they were. I then asked why we haven't heard anything from the installer - the salesman said he would communicate with the installer and make sure he called. A week went by with no contact. I had to call the Avon McCool's store again to ask if I should just pick the materials and find another company to install. They salesman said they would make sure the installer called me. Installer finally called and put us on the schedule. The job took a day to complete. Apparently they either broke or just didn't order enough trim pieces, because one of the transition pieces wasn't installed. Installer said they would be back when the trim piece was in stock to finish the job - unfortunately we paid the full invoice - probably would NOT have paid the full amount, in retrospect. It has literally been a month since we paid to have our floors installed and we are still missing a trim piece. Installer says "next week" and then we never hear from him. Every communication to the installers has been initiated by me, the paying customer. I tried to call Kokomo McCool's to speak to the owner, and he never called me back. I cannot recommend this place to anyone. Brad, our salesman in Avon was excellent, I learned a lot about flooring and what to choose and why - but the installation process has been a headache. It shouldn't take 3 months to get a floor installed. It's now almost March.... Update 3/2/2020 Following the review, Brad reached out to us and set an appointment with a different installer to finish things up. Though we had problems in the beginning, the way McCool's handled the problem was professional and quick. I am happy it is finally over and it does look amazing. Changing review from 1 star to 4.
