Safety regulations was awesome! The look at the lights, under the hood, tires, wipers, and e brake. I didn’t know if my car was going to pass because of an airbag light but as long as your lights, wipers, steering, and e brake work you will pass. I was waiting for less than 15 minutes to be in and out. Great place highly recommend!

Went to get a safety inspection for my car that I had shipped from the mainland in order to get Hawaii registration. There was a line of cars going out the lot into the street. This line splits into 2 lines when entering the lot. There was 2 people doing the inspections in the 2 lines available. Waited probably 30 or so minutes in our cars. They were going pretty quick though. About 10 minutes per car. By the time we got our inspection it was about the same 10 minutes. They were quick when checking for things and even warned us when they were checking for things like the windows and doors. Afterwards they told us what else we needed to do since we were transferring from out of state. Very helpful and friendly. We then had to come back after getting the approved paperwork and new license plates from the DMV. Coming back was about the same experience. Maybe only waited 20 minutes instead because there were less cars. This place didn't take reservations or appointments. Only first come first served. Overall happy with the experience and will be back for future inspections.

OMG. Charles is da bomb! So helpful, patient and friendly even tho he was slammed. Highly recommend, especially since it’s hard to find places to do safety checks. You have to pull up and wait but he’s so efficient that the wait isn’t bad at all. And he’s multi tasking the whole time with answering the phones but he does it all with a smile. Yay for great service.

I stopped in to get a quote on a replacement part. Gina was very professional and friendly. She showed me the issue and what was needed to repair the item; however, the repair wasn’t something they could do. I appreciate that she showed me exactly what was happening and what was needed to repair my car.

Fast. Efficient. Friendly. They have 2 dedicated lanes for safety inspections. In the shade. Was referred by a friend who has been going there for years. 12/22 update: still the same fast efficient service while you sit in your car. Keep it up guys!

I completed my annual safety inspection for my truck is at McCully Union Service. Quick and easy service; I was in-and-out in less than 15 minutes. No appointments needed for safety inspections; Safety inspections are on a first come first serve basis. If you plan on going there for your safety check be sure to turn left at the 1st entrance to McCully Union service, the 2nd entrance is for auto repairs. Be sure to have your current vehicle registration and insurance card ready before you arrive. As of the date of this review, the price of a safety inspection is $25.00 plus tax. Credit cards accepted.

These guys are awesome! Such a relief to find guys who obviously care about being efficient. Got a safety check and the guy was so fast and efficient. Out of there faster than going through some McDonald's drive throughs.
