Title: McDonald's:.. “The Salt Lake City Slop House"** Welcome to the McDonald's in Salt Lake City, where the golden arches are more like tarnished toothpicks and the service is as cold as a McFlurry left out in the Utah winter. From the moment you walk in, you're hit with an aroma that can only be described as a blend of stale fries and forgotten dreams. The décor screams "last-century chic," with plastic chairs that have seen more backsides than a park bench and floors stickier than a soda spilled at a middle school dance. The employees here have mastered the art of selective invisibility. You could be waving your arms like a deranged windmill, and they'll still manage to avoid making eye contact faster than you can say "I'm lovin' it." It's like playing a game of hide and seek where the only prize is a lukewarm burger and a side of disappointment. Speaking of food, the menu offers a culinary tour de force of mediocrity. Whether you're craving a soggy burger or a limp salad, they've got you covered – in grease and regret. And don't even get me started on the "special sauce" that's more mysterious than the Loch Ness Monster. But hey, at least the self-service kiosks have a personality – they're about as responsive as a brick wall in a game of charades. You'll be tapping away like a wannabe hacker trying to order a simple meal, only to be met with error messages and existential despair. In conclusion, if you're looking for a dining experience that'll make you question every life decision that led you to this moment, look no further than "The Salt Lake City Slop House." It's the McDonald's experience you never knew you didn't want.
I went to this location through the drive through and ordered two ice cream cones and a hot and spicy. I paid, without having my order read back to me or receiving a receipt. I pulled up to the next window and was given two ice creams and a hot fudge sundae which I didn’t take, I told them that I didn’t order this and would like a hot and spicy instead. The employee was very curt and bothered and the manager was unhelpful and rude. I left without receiving my full order and paid seven dollars for two ice creams. The manager was raising her voice asking why I had taken the two ice creams and was refusing to let me explain the situation so that I could get my correct order. The ice cream wasn’t even that good:
I ordered a large iced vanilla coffee. I took this picture in the parking lot before I left the drive thru. There was a good 3 inches of nothing from the top down. I ordered a large, I expect it to be full. The morning ladies are grouchy and don't care about service. The window lady knew it when she handed it to me too. I went to take a drink, and there were chunks of something gooey and slimy and chunky in the bottom. Disgusting. Last time I order this from McDs.
My three year old daughter had to use the bathroom and it literally took me 20 minutes to flag someone down to open the doors. Employees kept walking passed me as I'm trying to flag them down, not saying a word to me. Even the person next to me was confused on why they were ignoring me. I've never received such rude customer service. The place is also dirty.
Drive thru usually gets the order wrong. Dine in area usually has dirty seating. At least the fries are always fresh Parking: Not the safest lot. At least they have a security guard walking around the building. Lots of people speeding through the lot
Food was cold. Nuggets and fries were old. Manager berated a young man in front of us using not so nice language because he let a young lady use the restroom. I asked for fresh fries and nuggets and was told no I took too long getting there. I live 2 blocks away and I actually placed the order in the app in the parking lot. I have to ask for sauces, ketchup and napkins every time I order even though I put the sauces on the app. They yell and swear at the homeless too. Vegetarian options: None Kid-friendliness: Not when the managers are swearing at employees, customers and the homeless no
I just left there. It was horrible. No one at drive thru order area. Drove to 1st window, nothing. Drove up to second window. Yes at this point I would have left. But I was with a friend. Finally, someone comes to window. Takes our order. Big Mac combo, and Quarter Pounder with cheese & bacon combo. Both large. We paid. Pull forward. Recieved a hamburger combo, and what appeared to be the big Mac. Small fry. Finally, they get me my large fry. Sandwich ends up being a cheeseburger with bacon. No big Mac. Forgot our drinks. K got them. Pull over to calm down. Everything was cold. I wanted to go in and not only complain, but have everything fixed, but my friend was hungry, and settled for what we got. Food was not worth what we paid. Anyone with any knowledge of fast food, GO GET A JOB here. Parking: All good. No one was here. Now I know why. Also there is a Jack in the Box, just down the street. People lined up around the corner for that.
Not going to lie, out of all the McDonald's I've been to this one has consistently disappointed me. From cold, refried fries, to ALWAYS missing something from my orders. Some employees seem unhappy and snappish while others have been very pleasant. Its a constant up and down with this location. My only tip is forego the drive through and go inside and double check your order before leaving.
I always go to this McDonald’s constantly right after work 3 days of the week I know all the employees. I mobile order a triple cheese and I forgot to put ketchup only on the app I ask to see if they can remake it for me and the worker with orange hair or blonde hair with Hispanic accent she told me she won’t be making me another one in a really rude tone and says if I want a only ketchup to reorder it. I understand on parts this is my fault but I’m a regular and her tone was very not nice making me not coming back I’ll drive a little farther to a dif McDonald’s because she rudely said to buy another one as if she hasn’t seen me everyday in the past week ordering my food a little understanding would’ve been nicer as if this is the only time I’ve ever had this happen before. Please fix this and tell the employee next time to fix her tone bc it rly was nasty. will be taking my business elsewhere
Sat there for 30 minutes waiting for my food. Saw multiple employees on thier phones. The manager was nice but what difference does that make if you never get your order?Service: 1/5
