McFarland Clinic - West Ames Eye Center

I would like say how impressed I was with the staff of McFarland Eye Clinic. I started out at the Duff office, where Stacy H. and Mary O. both went out of their way to see that my experience was the best that it could be. They both made sure that I was completely satisfied with my new glasses. I needed something adjusted on the glasses so I stopped by the West Clinic. There Stefani S. Made sure that my issue was resolved very quickly. She then made sure that all my other requests were taken care of. These three women all went out of their way to see that my experience was the best that it could be. I really appreciate all that they did for me. They are all great assets for the McFarland Eye Clinic. Thanks again for all of your help! I will be back soon!

I have been seeing Dr. Koenig for more than 3 years. Dr. Koenig is a very caring eye doctor. He is very knowledgeable, confident and patient, he takes time to explain the details to patients. He is also extremely friendly, making sure the patients feel welcomed and comfortable. The facility is great and clean, they have a high-tech machine that can scan your retinal so you don't need to get eye dilated. I learned that they also have kids-specific equipments that can exam young kids' eyes easily. So I plan to take my toddler to have the first eye exam with Dr. Koenig as well. And the staff in the eye center are all very friendly. I would highly recommend Dr. Koenig and this eye center. Friendly reminder to fellow Google reviewers: slip of finger on the star reviews can happen easily on cell phone, that happened to me without knowing it. Glad I found out after a year and made it right.

Terrible experience here. Had to start going here because my insurance changed and could no longer go to my regular eye doctor. Made an appointment a month and a half in advance. I lose my health insurance in 15 days so I needed one before it ends. My son ended up being sick so I had to get a sitter as I’m a single mother and had no one family wise to watch him, plus I live an hour away from this office. Showed up SIX minutes late and the secretary was a complete ***** to me and said they would not be able to see me because they have appointments every 15 minutes. What kind of full eye exam takes just 15 minutes anyways?! Will NEVER be coming back to this establishment; have never been somewhere with such poor customer service and patient relations.

For some reason the lady at the front desk didn't believe that I didn't have insurance so she charged me full 120$ after being told it would be 30% off. The people actually working in the eye center were really great.

Office staff were very helpful with our problem. We were visiting from out of town- and they were very understanding and accommodating.

I checked in and met with the optometrist in a matter of minutes. The staff is really friendly!

Customer service was absolutely terrible. Yikes
