Beautiful contemporarily designed library on Stella Link at Aberdeen Way. There is a large open concept reading room with computer work stations, overstuffed easy chairs, tables, etc. The library has a nice selection of adult fiction/nonfiction, juvenile and reference books. The librarians are knowledgeable and helpful.
A follow-up update 6/27/2022: The new passport arrived in my mail box in a month or so while the old passport was returned in another 3 weeks. So the turnaround was not bad at all. 3/14/2022 I love the passport service offered here! My daughter’s passport as a minor expired and she needs to apply for a new one as adult. Appointment at all locations is booked out during the Spring break. I was lucky to get a spot at this place on Monday. Never been there - not near my neighborhood. To my surprise, the facility is decent and clean, located in a pretty quiet area, not as how I imagined about Bellaire within I-610. We arrived about 10 minutes earlier and there was no waiting. The guy named Ray took care of our application. He’s professional and proficient. He explains everything clearly. It took about 10 minutes for him to review and finish up the form we filled in advance. The whole process cost less than 15 minutes - straightforward. Thanks to the staff who helped with this! They are all nice and friendly. Tip: Do good home work and fill the forms in advance per instruction - minimize the work on the scene. Run the checklist and bring the required documents. Then the process will be very smooth.
Great library overall! Came here to get some studying done. Looks there are a lot of books. There are lots of cool props and designs laid out on the walls and ceiling. There are lots of open tables and computers which makes it easy to study. Only issue is that the internet was very spotty. On their wifi, there was difficulty connecting and when it did connect, it was spotty and disconnected or slowed down at times. Great place for relaxed studying but I'd be careful about internet intensive activities. Staff was friendly though and took time to come to my table and answer questions/ concerns. Overall still a great study spot.
A quaint neighborhood library, with a good store of books for all ages and subjects. There’s a small children’s play area to keep them happy while you browse. I particularly like the quiet reading areas.
What a gem of a library! This place is very quiet and comfortable enough to study at before the kids are released from school, which is around 2/3pm on the weekdays. Very clean restrooms and all the workers here were so welcoming and willing to help.
It's a nice library and has a great kids area. I just wish it was open for more than 4 hours in the afternoon on Fridays
Okay place to study if no kids are present. Kids get off of school around 3PM, and then the place becomes a noise distraction. No sense of respect for those trying to study or complete work in a quiet environment.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Not too busy today, kids are usually there. It's a bit more quiet as kids are back in school. Needed a little help today staff was johnny on the spot, so helpful
Our local library since the Meyerland library closed. Modern design with lots of high windows. Decent selection, but I've wound up using it for hold pick up mostly. The staff are excellent. They're helpful and help me with my issues. And the only problem they couldn't solve was a network outage.
Nice place to relax, read and study. Order books you want online and pick up a couple days later. Cute little park next door.
