This is the only time we've been here in the last five years, so this may be an isolated incident. We sat on the patio on a warm evening around six thirty. There were about four or five tables empty and about four other tables with one to three people sitting at them. Our service was extremely slow and the servers were non existent, literally. When we finally got them, our orders were either wrong or incomplete. One hour and forty five minutes later, when we were paying our bill, our server apologized for the super slow service, he said he was slammed. (It wasn't busy at all, in fact looked slow.) We should have trusted all of the negative reviews saying the same thing. What a waste of a gorgeous location. We will not be back. Ever.

They have the typical fare you will find at other McMenamins. Fewer items, since the kitchen is tiny. That tiny kitchen can also lead to slow service on food orders. (A 45 min wait on a sunny, Sunday afternoon.)
Despite that, the server we had was excellent. The beers are good.

Great place as usual for Mcmenamins. If your from out of town, always hit up one of their places for fabulous beer and great food. Oregon City does a fantastic job with their by gets. BIG RED is a great bartender. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable gent!!!!

We visited during off hours, so I can't speak to the dinner rush, but we had a good time. Food and service where great!
The building has the look of a quaint cottage on the river.
Parking was sparse, so we parked on the curb (which is metered).

Great food, great taps. Only issue is the loud and surely/sassy bar staff/waiters.
Here is a tip: In all honesty, none of your patrons want to hear the staff loudly plan after hours affairs. I would hoped that they realize they are in the middle of a small room, not in the back kitchen.... Unfortunetly we could loudly hear every word of the wait staff in the middle bar area louder than the person across the table. Not professional or courteous, but if you want to know what the bar tender and friends have planned after his shift, its 10 out of 10.
