We are not a part of any denomination. We are simply trying to go back beyond all man-made organizations and creeds and be New Testament Christians. We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible word of God and should be our only rule of faith and practice. We exalt Jesus Christ as the Son of God who left heaven, lived a sinless life as a man, and then willingly gave His life as a ransom to save us from eternal damnation. This salvation is the gift of God’s grace. We teach what the apostles taught regarding what one must do in order to receive the remission of his sins:
• believe that Jesus is the Christ (Heb. 11:6), the Son of God, and confess this faith with his mouth (Matt. 10:32-33; Acts 8:36-37);
• with godly sorrow for his sins, repent and resolve to reform his life (Acts 2:38, 17:30);
• be baptized (immersed) in water, in the name of Jesus, for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38; Mark 16:15-16).
We have a regular schedule of Bible classes for all ages. Those who preach in our pulpit are required to “speak as the oracles of God.” We stress the importance of living pure, godly lives. None of us are sinlessly perfect, but we strive to “cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”
Our worship services include:
• congregational singing (without instrumental music), as found in the New Testament and practiced by Christians for the first several centuries (Eph. 5:19; Col. 3:16);
• observance of the Lord’s Supper each first day of the week as a memorial of the atoning death of Christ upon the cross (Matt. 26:26-28; Acts 20:7);
• prayers offered to our Heavenly Father, led by male members of the congregation; • free-will offerings from members of this congregation, given each Sunday (as a visitor, you will not be asked to make a contribution).
