I purchased a 248 Commander from Dave earlier this summer. Dave and his team were easy to work with and kept us up-to-date on the status of our order. Dave's commitment to offering great boats at fair prices was what brought us to his business. We look forward to doing business with Dave, Rosa and the crew in the future.
McShane Yacht Sales has been great to work with. I just bought another boat from them. They offer very competitive pricing and provide strong support throughout the buying process even make working with the loan reps seem smooth and seamless.
Although I didn't buy a boat these guys gave me more good advice that I found anywhere else. I was looking for a used 18 to 19 ft center console which they did not have in my price range. They were more than happy to point me in the right direction and have said that if I have any additional questions regardless of who I purchase a boat from that I could feel free to run them by David. When I have a bit more money to spend on such a high quality product as they sell I will definitely go back. Just the information they shared is proving to be invaluable on my search.
First and Foremost...I never write reviews on line and I mean never....But I could not let this one pass me by....Mcshane yacht Sales in Marshfield, Mass does not stand behind their word. Fact: I put a deposit down on 4/22/21for the next 288 or 326 Sea Fox that would be available, but to execute a down payment they said, they had to write the contract under another boat that I clearly told them I did not want. 3 people involved on the sales side, Jim band new sales guy, Rosa the owners wife & Dave the owner verbally acknowledged back to me that they knew what the intent was with this deposit and that I would have first rights of refusal for the next 288 or 326. The next day I got a text from the owner with no conditions that a 288 Sea Fox was available. I called them back 30 minutes later and they sold the boat to someone else. Thanks Dave, much appreciated.
This is my second seafox boat buying off Dave. I started with a seafox 226 and went to a seafox 248. They give you full value of your boat when you trade it in after 2 years. And my purchase price was very fair. They worked hard to get me everything I needed from financing to winterization and shrink wrap. Charlie is very knowledgeable and thorough and goes through the boat before it leaves the yard. For me it was a one stop shop.
It was an interesting experience talking with them about a new boat. Nothing was objectively rude or negative however the entire conversation felt very pressured. I say pressured in regards to speech patterns and not sales pressure, after the interaction we opt’d to not consider them for our new purchase.
I called and asked for a quote on a new boat trailer. I was told they would be arriving at the end of the month. "Can I get a quote on one?" Guy replies "no, i don't have the numbers in front of me. See ya." Then hangs up. Poor way to treat someone that would like to make a purchase.
Pretty high pressure. Looking at a boat that you could tell the salesman was very passionate about, but the conversation turn quickly to him basically saying you're just kicking tires and wasting my time. Of course I have questions, it is my first bay boat. Fairly terse after only 6 minutes of conversation. No matter how excited I was about that boat, I will never be pressured into a sale. I will say that he was very knowledgeable. For me, I am ok with them losing my number. Thanks
Dave and his crew are great to work with, whether you are in the market for a new boat or need detailing or service for your boat. Honest and very knowledgeable about everything to do with boats.
They did a great job winterizing my boat
