"Meaza Restaurant is hands down the best Ethiopian dining experience in Virginia! From the moment you step in, you're greeted with exceptional customer service and a spotlessly clean environment. The historic pictures of Ethiopian kings add a charming touch to the already inviting ambiance. The food is absolutely delicious, authentically prepared, and served with care. Whether you're a seasoned Ethiopian cuisine aficionado or trying it for the first time, Meaza Restaurant will exceed your expectations. Highly recommend!"
Incredibly delicious Ethiopian food, our waitress was so kind and helpful. Loved the welcoming atmosphere. We came on a Sunday so it wasn’t busy at all, we ordered the Doro Wat and it definitely filled us up! We will be back!Food: 5/5
Late night options appeared to be fast food at 9:30pm until Meaza waved at me. We’re they open? Yes. We’ll take a table outside. A little communication confusion and I eventually ordered two Ethiopian beers and a combo meat and veggie platter with injera. The best ever.
Meaza is a good place to eat. We went on a Sunday at 4:30, the food took about 35 minutes to come out. The ambiance is a bit tired, but not bad at all. Staff were friendly. Food prices are typical of ethiopian food, but beware, they charge a 30% gratuity standard on a meal. Vegetarian options: Plenty to eat. Parking: On a Sunday, at 4:30, it's empty. Cannot say about later in the evening.
This is such a good spot for dinner!! The meaza house special tibs are literally incredible, i reccomend them over the regular ones. Very kind service!! Family owned and they gave a bunch of meals to nurses for free.Food: 5/5
This place is a charming restaurant that is family owned, serving delicious traditional Ethiopian food. Everything being freshly cooked, this place is certainly a must for everyone who loves to experience authentic Ethiopian food. I highly recommend visiting this place and to check it out. They also have a store next door with local products and goods.
Like other reviewers noted, the service is extremely slow, although the food is good and staff is very friendly. We waited at least 45 minutes for our food. Even drinks came 20 minutes after we ordered them. I hope the owners take note of these reviews and improve the service. I'd love to come back for the food again, but for now, Dama's Pastry and Restaurant is my favorite Ethiopian restaurant in the area.
Exceptional food with great portions and flavour. Takeout travels exceptionally well and is packaged with care. The restaurant took great care to ensure that our dietary restrictions were met. Highly recommended! We ordered: -Special vegetarian combo -kitfo/tibs combo -ethiopian injera The kitfo and tibs were cooked perfectly to order, each with very distinct but equally amazing tastes! The vegetarian sampling was all delicious and went amazingly both individually and in the same bite! Note that these combos come with awesome house injera, and you can also buy delicious imported injera! Both are fluffy and tender, with slightly different flavor profiles. Delicious!
We had the yabug wot with injera, key wot with injera, and beef and rice. Everything was amazing. Best Ethiopian food we've had since being back in the states. Portion sizes were very large as well. Left feeling very full and satisfied!!!Food: 5/5
