I didn't want to believe the posts written here and gave them a chance. But that was a BIG mistake. If I could have left the the stars blank I could have. I applied for a position posted on INDEED. Currently still working, mind you I initially corresponded with Tanya Domenech and submitted everything she needed. Felt rushed at times, but hey I did it. Once everything was submitted, I waited for a couples weeks to hear back. Then I receive a voicemail from Jennifer Serrano stating the facility wanted to meet me for an interview and asked when I could start orientation. I reminded her that i was still working and needed to give my current place of employment the proper notice. on 02/05 I went in dressed for the interview only to find it was an ORIENTATION. I participated and remained professional. Afterwards I spoke with Jennifer Serrano and told her they thought I was there for orientation. To which she replied "Yeah, I messed that up." So i asked "Does that mean that I'm hired?" She said yes. I clarified the hourly rate and she confirmed. So I reminded her that I needed to give my job the proper 2 weeks notice. I asked for an Offer Letter from Tanya D prior to giving my notice to cover myself. A week goes by with no letter stating they're "waiting to hear back" from the facility. Today I get an email stating that the facility responded and they're not hiring for new grads. After telling me I was hired. The ad I responded to stated "HIRING NEW GRADS" !! SPARE YOURSELF! The MOST UNPROFESSIONAL experience I've ever had. How do you do that to someone?

Worse experience ever. Had a half a day Orientation on 02/18/2020 and that was it. Kept reaching out to my so called coordinator amy sugrim who couldnt seem to find time to reach out to me to let me know whats going on. Requested to be sent to a new location since I wasnt being offered any work at the first place but she said she didnt have anything else which is bazaar considering that there are tons of nursing homes in New York City. Smdh, thankfully I had enough common sense not to leave my present part-time job because if I did I would just be out of work. It seems as if some of the staff thats employed at this agency is unprofessional and heartlesss. Someone that can just leave an individual out of work just because they want to have no soul and no heart. I wont reccomend this agency to a homeless person..hell I wont reccomend this agency to an illeterate

This place is horrible, specially the person on extention 350 she is unprofessional and rude. They play around with your paycheck. If your a part timer and only work 2-3 days a week you have to complete 5days of work to be able to get a paycheck and they dont explain that to you from the beginning. I called the extension 350 to get an answer and give my resignation and she said she didnt care and didnt even let me talk and hang up on me. They have a really bad reputation on the nursing home i was working for they drive people crazy. Don’t recommend this place, please dont waste your time with this place. Go somewhere unless you want to work for free.

I would never recommend this agency to anyone. They do not pay for orientation. Once you are working a facility they forget about you! Do not work for this agency unless you dont mind working free. Just to add... who in 2019 can afford to work 2 days free??

The absolute worse desicion I’ve made this summer. I’m a college student trying to save up enough money to pay for a film program ill be attending in July. Not only can I never reach anyone, but on top of that they constantly send my checks late. It’s happened before and it’s happening now. In essence I’m working for free. Would not recommend Medistar to anyone, not even my worst enemy. Please work at fivestar or some other agency. I don’t know what they are, but these definitely are NOT real and genuine reviews.

Just found out the first 2 days of orientation is not paid for and the next 3 days of training not paid for. I have never worked for a place that does not pay you for training. So essentially 40 hours for nothing. I would never recommend anyone to work for this agency unless you don't mind working for free.

Medistar staff is friendly, understanding, and professional. I had no issues being placed in a LTC facility. I am happy with my position and location. I will recommend Medistar to a fellow employee, friend, or family member.

The recruiter amy is very unprofessional ......dont bother going to this agency ......they dont pay you for the hours you work ...always missing money from your pay cheque
