I was recently instructed by my doctor to get some labs drawn. The labs I need require me to fast. I work out of town and I leave for work at 5:00 a.m. and I don't return until around 3:00 p.m. on the weekdays. Clearly doing this lab on a weekend would be the best option for me. I first decided to go to the lab that was closest to my home which, upon arriving that location has moved. I haven't been to the lab for a while so I was unaware. So, I had to this location where I know they are located. I checked online to make sure the lab was open until 12:00 p.m. I pulled up into the parking lot and there is a large A-frame sign stating to please text the word arrived to a certain phone number. I pull in a parking spot, I text and I wait for further instruction. I get an instant text message that says someone will be with me shortly, and that if I have not heard or seen anybody in 10 minutes to call the number provided. 12 minutes go by, and I call. Nobody answers so I leave a short voicemail. There are no cars in the front in the patient parking, so I'm assuming they can't be that busy. I drive around to the back to find that in the employee parking area, there are zero cars. Nobody is there at the lab that is supposed to be open until noon. Not only have I made a trip across town, but I have been fasting. I guess my health nor my time or labs is important.
This location is no longer here. It moved a month ago but they haven't bothered updating their Google listing. Their website also still lists the old address. To add to the confusion, new location lacks proper signage. I've had other issues with Medlabs such as bad sticks and rude service especially at the 1st Ave location. I would rather use Weland Labs but my UnityPoint doctor insists that I go here.
You can never get an appointment
Excellent experience I don't know why people don't like this place it's awesome
Fast and located conveniently above my doctors office.
Always awesome and quick!
Staffing is awesome.
The ATM gene was found in my DNA, it’s responsible for the cancer found in my liver, thus transplant. One of the technicians told me “I hope you take care of this liver”. I don’t drink! It’s hard for me to schedule an appointment. I’m in and out of hospitals, never knowing when my weekly draw will be, I’m on a trough Meds 12 hour administer med it’s impossible to schedule an appointment and keep it. Team med, you could be more understanding. Shame on this lab. I chose this place for convenience.
