I liked my doctor, but the administrative staff is horrible. When my doctor unexpectedly retired, I was not informed or reassigned to another doctor in the practice. When I tried to call in, I had wait times of as much as 15 minutes. When they refused to refill my prescription, I tried to escalate and no one returned my call despite numerous promises. They literally would not put me through to a doctor to discuss my situation. My advice: avoid this practice.

My experience is virtually identical to Barton Kaplan's. After Dr. Basch's medically induced retirement, I was assigned to a newly installed cold doctor with the manner of a stern schoolmarm. I have been waiting more than one week for a *necessary* prescription to be refilled. No refill has been forthcoming, and no explanation has been given. This physician was also called by another provider regarding a different prescription, and she did not see fit to return the call or to have her assistant return the call. I seem to remember reading somewhere "First, do no harm." Perhaps they are unaware of that little chestnut. I've been with this practice for 23 years. I might give them 23 days to fix this problem. Long-time Capitol Hill neighborhood patients are fleeing the practice.

I found their staff friendly and fairly efficient. I had an appointment for a physical. I arrived 10min early as they suggested, completed my paperwork, and was in the exam room 5min after my appointment start time. This was during a weekday afternoon 2pm I think.

I agree with previous reviews that this office is horrendous with respect to patient/customer service. Dr Basch had been my primary care physician for 20+ years, until his untimely retirement due to health reasons. However, this office was awful before his retirement. I was told that he had no control or say over how the office was run or processes conducted. It should have been a wake-up call that shortly after Dr Basch ' s retirement there was a wholesale turnover of the physicians associated with this office/practice. If you have the ability, you would do well to be seen by a different medical office or group. MedStar has terrific physicians but without oversight or the ability to enact changes within the office, this location is a blight on the reputation of MedStar and their dedicated physicians.

I've been coming here for many years. I'm very happy with the care the practice provides. They have a good set of doctors that are very invested in their patients.

I came for the walk in flu shot. I have been waiting one hour fifteen minutes.

I miss Dr Basch office is no good for me
