My employer gave me a form that I needed to have completed by a doctor. They suggested I visit an urgent care center. I made an appointment here at MedStar Health Urgent Care for a physical and brought the form to my appointment. The form wasn't difficult... just a series of questions for the provider to check off and sign at the bottom. Apparently the providers at this location don't know how to read, because I was told that no one there could complete the form. I then went down the street to Xcel Urgent Care. They were able to see me right away and complete the form in under 30 minutes. The provider completed the form by reading the questions and asking me about my medical history. I was charged for a physical. I also tried calling this MedStar Health location to follow up. I thought they might like to refer future patients needing forms done to Xcel. However, when I tried to call this location, my call was routed to a call center. I asked the call center employee if I could speak to someone at the MedStar Health location I just visited. The call center employee was unhelpful. I was disappointed by this visit to MedStar Urgent Care. Every MedStar employee I spoke to acted like I was asking for something impossible. A form? A phone call? Can't be done! Somehow another urgent care location was able to help me out with no issues. I will not be visiting any MedStar Health branded facilities in the future.
I was a walk-in with a sprained ankle. My care was kind and efficient. I got the medical help I needed in just a few hours. The facility was calm and supportive. They even had courtesy phone chargers available! How thoughtful! Also, there was ample parking right at the front door which was very helpful!
The medical staff was amazing. First of all, they had all the basic medical equipment to help make an informed diagnosis. Secondly, the medical staff used every resource to determine a solution to my health problem. They even went beyond their local resources to call in a medical specialist via zoom to help with the diagnosis. I’m so impressed with this team who left no stone unturned to help me. I would recommend this team to anyone who had an issue that needed immediate attention. They are good! Use them!
I would not recommend this Urgent Care. I made an appointment online for my daughter 12:40 and arrived 10 minutes early. We filled out the forms online however we’re asked to complete them again. It’s now 3:15 and we are still waiting to see a physician. While there were several people waiting for services, all of the other patients were taken before my daughter. The last child that was seen left over 30 minutes ago and we still have not been seen. I have no idea why it is taking so long but wonder if the physicians are also proving telehealth sessions. There have not been enough patients to come through for this long of a wait. The office needs to work on streamlining the services. If individuals make an online appointment they should be seen in a timely manner. Waiting 3 hours is not acceptable. We will not be returning to this location.
Felt compelled to write a quick review after my visit today since I saw so many negative ones. I had an appointment for 1215, I showed up a little after 12. The woman at the front desk was very nice, brought me over my forms and came over to pick them up I was on crutches and she offered me water as well. I wasn't taken back until about 1230 so not on time but not crazy delayed. Quick vital sign check in and waited in exam room maybe 3 minutes before PA came in. He was nice, asked a lot of questions and did a thorough exam. We made a plan for next steps and I was out of there. All in all I had a good experience and would come back if I needed to seek out urgent care again!
Arrived at 1:45 pm for my son’s scheduled 2pm appointment. There was a huge wait with walk ins taking priority over scheduled appointments. At 3pm we were told that there were still 5 people ahead of us to even get into a room. And all rooms were currently full. We finally cancelled/left and were seen at another urgent care within 15 min. Another patient cancelled/left for the same reason. This used to be a great location. Not sure what happened.
I had an excellent visit at this urgent care. I went in around 7pm on a Sunday evening with flu-like symptoms. The check-in process was carefully explained to me by the woman at the front desk. I waited about 10 minutes before being called back for vitals. From there, I was placed in a room where I waited another 15 minutes to be seen. The PA carefully listened to my concerns, checked my ears, explained test results, and provided me with the appropriate care plan including prescription pickup at my pharmacy. I hope I don’t have to, but I would go here again!
I had a wonderful visit as always felt well taken care of by MedSTAR staff all around. From being greeted at the front desk to be in brought in to the room for blood pressure and temperature check all the way through to leaving. The staff is fantastic. They had a full waiting room and apologized profusely for the weight. But they don’t need to apologize for doing their jobs taking care of sick people and doing it so well.
Dr. Athing was really nice and very patient with me. He allowed me time to explain everything I was experiencing before doing X-Rays and set up my follow up appointment with a specialist. The team at this location was great. Hopefully I won’t need to, but I f I ever need to get to an Urgent Care I know where to go.
We came here for my spouse’s head laceration after 6 pm with a waiting room full of people. The front office staff were very helpful and kind and assisted us in getting his intake done quickly as he looked ghastly with his bloody visage. The back office staff were pleasant and efficient and they got him into a room quickly. Dr. Bhogal was at the end of his long day, but attended to my spouse with concern and skill although he was clearly pulled in many directions with other ill patients. Very happy with our experience here.
