I wanted to really love my chicken fried steak, but it wasn’t breaded, so it lacked the usual crunchy texture. The staff was lovely. The jam was homemade. My friend hash was fabulous! My potatoes were great!
Delicious benedict and b&g. Waffle satisfied a six year old. Quiche was yummy, crust a little thick. Friendly service but waited a bit for the check. One adult loved the scalloped potatoes, one wished for browns. Indoor and outdoor seating. Thank you.
I had to thank my PDX friend very much for the recommendation. Our server was attentive and friendly and his mother was cooking the food. I had a really delicious chicken friend steak with rich and tasty pan gravy and my wife had a delicious omelette. We would definitely eat here again.
Incredible waitstaff and the food was excellent. Very homey, generous portion sizes, food like you might eat with your grandparents. We definitely got a pastry to go!
Oh my word! Where do I start? AMAZING food! I ordered the Thanksgiving dinner meal for 4-6 people; mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, sweet potatoes, whole ham, rolls, and a pumpkin pie. Everything was outstanding! If you love supporting small family owned businesses that offer excellent service & exceptional food then this is the place! Highly recommended & we will definitely be returning...and returning...more returning.
A little family owned place- the food was so amazing and made from scratch ! Sat out on their newly built patio and enjoyed a beautiful Sunday morning. Nothing better.
Now, here's a restaurant that has to be moved to the top of your list...small, cozy and no frills. The "frills" are in the food and is it ever special!! Family run with indoor and outdoor seating.... We had brunch...yummy chicken fried steak with gravy, cheddar cheese scramble and waffles with a side of bacon. Bonus house made jam and bread as well as a tasty version of escalloped potatoes! Best corner of the restaurant is the bakery...
Great local spot to go and have some breakfast. The service and environment were great. It's wonderful to have a gem like this in the neighborhood. There is a welcoming feeling about this place and that's what makes it special. We love coming here for breakfast.
This place is right down the street from our new house and I couldn't be happier but R.I.P. my wallet tho. Mehri's will have you going there once to check it out, and then trying not to have it for every meal The staff is so sweet and the food is next level! Exactly what you want from a neighborhood Café! Their specials are OUT OF THIS WORLD, their dessert case is sitting temptation, and their service can't be beat!
Nice atmosphere and decent food, but prices aren’t aligned with service or ambiance - everything was about as expensive as a very nice brunch spot $18-20/dish, $5-6 pastries, but without the experience. Felt like a strange disconnect. Also, the coffee wasn’t very good - dark/burnt. Similar to Waffle House or McDonald’s coffee. Happy the friendlyish staff and homie feel… but I expected something more affordable and quick.
