Every time I goto this location which is 5 mins driving from my house but will start going further away I have some type of issue when it comes to check out they come on the intercom at 11 and what seems to be every 5 mins after all the way til Midnight letting us know to finish up n head to self checkout which is always a nightmare. Their new self checkouts they just installed shuts down exactly at 12 Midnight regardless if u have already swiped ur card for pmt it will shut down but will decline ur card make them void ur transaction and move over to the one and only regular checkout. So just Prepare urself to be there way longer than u originally wanted to be. So after me needing them to price check alot of stuff because not coming up the right price I left there without most of my stuff.. Ugh. Needs to get it together. Won't b going black to that location
Today's trip was the first time being at this store. It's been a while since I've been to a Meijer store and I was really impressed with this one. The aisles were nice and wide and not cluttered. It was easy for me to find everything I needed and there was a huge selection of items. The checkout staff was friendly and I was in and out with no problems. I really wish there was a Meijers like this close to where I live.
The lines can be soo long. Sometimes, you will be waiting over 20 minutes just to get to the front and there are usually only one sometimes two cashier's. However, they always have excellent customer service. However, there is one younger employee in the deli who has the worst attitude and sure makes it known that you are inconveniencing her by ordering some deli meat and cheese. But, overall, I have had good experiences. The store is always clean and well organized. The items are a bit pricier than most grocery stores. But, I continue to come for convenience.
Went in this evening to grab a few things, and the cashier was so nice, but didn’t see the security tags on a hat, and a sweater we got and didn’t remove them. So we go out to the car, and I noticed them, and went back in to get them removed- as we had just cashed out and bought them. The “manager” was so rude, and basically accused us of stealing them, even though we had our receipt and had quite literally just walked out. He questioned several things on the receipt, and eventually took the security tags off and said for future reference Carhart, Adidas, and Columbia items all have tags, insinuating that we shouldn’t “steal” them. On top of that, the security tags didn’t go off either time of going out or back in the store- so maybe instead of accusing your paying customers, you do more to prevent actual theft.
I love Meijer! I tend to shop here a lot, especially recently I've been finding many different varieties of items I couldn't normally find anywhere else. Now, One of the main issues I have is that the wait time after 4pm can be insane. There have been many times the line from the self checkout is nearly to the back of the store. I feel like a great addition would be having staff available at the self checkout lanes all hours of the day. 2 of the instances I was waiting over 10mins for a member to arrive, which could have been dealt with in seconds had a member already been available.
Not a huge fan of this Meijer location. Has had quite a downfall in standards sanitary/cleanliness and employee courtesy. It is hit or miss through. The store serves its purpose as in it is a grocery store. Just not always an enjoyable visit.
nice meijer. the greeters are so nice. usually well stocked and they always have a nice sale section in the back! also happy birthday sandy!!!!! i love u.
Meijer seems to be sliding into being a more expensive version of Walmart. Highlights include shelves being a mess and lines at checkout with only a couple lanes open. I did appreciate the staff member I asked for help being very friendly and genuinely helpful. I especially dislike pricing games like "2 for $6", but only if you buy two, and it seems like they're now forcing you to use loyalty cards for every purchase or at least they're not making it easy to opt out.
Meijer's is a great all purpose grocery store and home necessity store. Electronics & Automotive supplies. All around General Store. Prices are slightly cheaper than Giant Eagle but not as cheap as some of the Kroger items I buy.
I like this store. It's very close to me and it is clean. Very nice employees. I just found that I do not care for the Fredricks by Meijer cheeses. No flavor, dont waste your money. I bought Munster and Swiss No flavor
