Melange Catering & Special Events provided so much more than just delicious food and plenty of alcohol for our wedding. Besides the usual catering equipment, they provided ceremony chairs, ceremony staging, tables, reception chairs, and linens. Blake worked incredibly well with us and our wedding planner to ensure all these moving pieces fell into place on our wedding day. The only reason I’m giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because the rib-eye carvery station at the reception was not executed the way we agreed upon. The rib-eye was supposed to be carved and served to each guest as they went through the buffet line. Instead, it was pre-carved and served inside a roll like a slider. We discussed this issue with the owner afterwards and he sincerely apologized and reimbursed us for the mistake. However, this was such a minor inconvenience that only a handful of people realized and did not impact our guests’ experience. From passed appetizers to dinner to a late night snack the most yummy and gourmet pigs-in-a-blanket ever, the food was amazing!

Melange Catering did a fantastic job catering my friend's wedding! Claire was so great to work with, helped change the proposal multiple times as their ideas changed, and walked them through the tasting. The service the day of was incredible! So accommodating and friendly! I would highly recommend for any event you need catered!

Melange catered our wedding, and they were fantastic. The staff was organized, timely, and professional throughout the cocktail hour and reception. The food was delicious - our vegan, vegetarian, omnivorous, and carnivorous guests equally loved the buffet options and could not stop raving that “this is the best wedding food we’ve ever had!”

They are the best caterer I’ve worked with. Everyone at the luncheon thought it was the finest food we’ve ever served in the many years of holding this luncheon meeting. I used Melange to cater an event I hosted this past weekend. I had attended two previous events they had catered and loved the food. I was also impressed by the staff. I really can't say enough about how wonderful they were to work with. For most people the quality of the food would probably be most important. While the food was excellent my guests were raving all night!, for me it was the amazing service I received. They couldn't do enough for me. This was the case with each person I dealt with. My event planner at Melange was Mary Margaret. Wow!! She understood exactly how I wanted everything to go. Our Event Director on sight was Richard. He offered to take pictures all night, joked with our guests and was just an all around great guy! He was on top of everything. When he saw me look at him sometimes from across the room I'd see his eyes dart around the room correctly perceiving what I wanted done. He was truly amazing! The wait staff was also great. Plates and glasses disappeared from the tables the minute they were empty. The beautiful buffet was stocked full all evening. Did not run out of anything. The room was kept clean at all times. I will say that I spent some time with each person I was to work with before the event to discuss exactly what I expected and they did not disappoint. It was a birthday so a large cake was sliced and a piece taken to each person in the room instead of people having to go to the cake table to get a piece. We all know many people would not. People were all over the room, yet no one was missed. Speaking of the cake, many people said it was the best Italian Cream cake they'd ever eaten! And with all this, they stayed well within my budget. My guests were asking me who the caterer was all night long. Im still receiving texts about what a great party it was. Kudos to you Greg Bess!! You're the only caterer in Houston I'll ever use!

Upon booking, you already have a ton of restrictions. but basically it boils down to service. The wait staff does not speak English, so communicating needs was difficult. Everyone basically just stopped asking for anything. The bartenders were preoccupied on their phones for most of the evening, and barely acknowledged customers. They even ran out of 2/3rds of their spirits halfway through the evening; didn't bother to replenish. Food was subpar, microwaved. And to top it off, explaining dissatisfaction to the managers/owners fell on deaf ears; they are the rudest people! They even TOLD me I should have gone with someone else! They would not discount or refund any amount paid for their *cough* "services". I would highly recommend you go with another company for your event.

Melange handled a small holiday catering event for me. Price was affordable and very reasonable considering that the food was excellent. Will definitely us again!

I've never had to use melange for any kind of catering services but I do there I t work for them and I frequent than their lunches when I'm there I can verify that they make fantastic food
