Melcher Neighborhood Library

Has potential to be great if they were to maybe grow their Young Adult section also throw in more variety for adult reading.

Small clean library. Was empty when I came in on a weekday morning. Has a very limited selection of adult books but its to be expected considering this location was closed for three years~ after Harvey. Im glad to see it open again. Has a very colorful children’s display children’s area is the biggest and plenty of computers and a printer.

August 2023. Much to my surprise, Melcher Library has reopened during the week but closed on weekends. Anyone interested in reopening the Library on weekends - which is when it should be open - should call the central library downtown to make that request. If enough people call, they'll reopen it. Reading is what? FUNdamental!

This library is small but clean very organized and just cozy, quiet simply very nice kid friendly love it Librarians are sweet
