I had such a wonderful time here in one of the weekend classes! Lauren is not only an incredibly talented artist, but she is a fantastic instructor - from the way she explains things, to making everyone feel included and welcome, I couldn't recommend these classes enough. There's ample space and the class size is not so large that it feels crowded, and everything was very organized and ran smoothly. I will definitely be back.

Lauren and Sarah make jewelry making SO MUCH FUN! The classes at Meltdown are so organized and easy to understand. ANYONE can make jewelry! This was my 6th class at Meltdown and I have no plans of stopping. It's so rewarding wearing jewelry that I made and talk about bragging rights when I get compliments on my piece... YES I MADE THIS! I’ve taken jewelry making classes in Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and online from several different professional instructors. After my first couple of classes with Lauren Tobey I decided to only take classes at Meltdown Studio. Every class is superb. Every piece has been high quality and I’m able to give them as birthday and Christmas presents when not keeping them for myself. I’m able to use the techniques that Lauren has taught me to sell my work professionally. Lauren is the best teacher, patient and professional, encouraging and friendly. Anyone wanting to learn jewelry making should give Meltdown a try.

Love, love, love Meltdown. Owner Lauren Tobey is so talented, and her classes are so much fun. The studio has individual work stations and tons of equipment and tools, and the projects turn out gorgeously. I've learned new techniques from each one I've taken and come home with a beautiful piece of jewelry, too. I highly recommend the studio, the classes, and Lauren's work.

Meltdown Studio is amazing! I've taken 4 classes now 3 different instructors and learned so much at each one. Their jewelry and lapidary classes have truly been the most fun thing I've done this year. I can't wait to take more and get back in for open studio time. Still have tons to learn, but feel like I have enough of the basics to start playing around on my own.

Meltdown Studio is one of the most professional and incredible jewelry schools I have ever been to! Lauren is a top notch instructor who can teach literally ANYONE how to create a unique and incredible piece of jewelry. I've taken private classes from her and done some of the workshops. This place is truly a gem in New Mexico. The Santa Fe location is one of the COOLEST jewelry studios that I have ever seen too!

I took the Beginning Small Metals Class and I had so much fun! I learned how to use all of the equipment in this well stocked studio as well as how to create my own metal pieces in brass, copper and silver. The instructors were patient and helpful. Afterwards, I purchased an Open Studio punch card which allows me to go to the studio and practice what I've learned on Tues/Thurs. Lauren and her team are the best! 10/10 would do it again.

Very knowledgeable instructors and perfect pace even with a room full of students. They provide the steps and let your creativity flow. Way above my expectations. I made a ring that I can wear proudly.

I attended the beginner jewelry class. I loved the studio and the teacher. The teacher was fun and very helpful. After the four week class was finished, I was so excited to practice my new skills in the studio. Before I took the class I was told open studio days were Tuesday and Thursday from 10-6 and sometimes Saturdays if a class wasn’t using the studio. However, during the class we were told the studio would only be open until 4pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays and not on Saturday at all. How disappointing. I have been unable to practice because of the limited hours. Since I work until noon, the two hour difference is huge for me.
