Everything we ordered was good. The pork soup dumplings was good but lack the traditional rich soup flavor. Don't get me wrong, still very tasty food. I will come back again. Features: Server wore mask. They use disposable chopsticks for dine in customers.
I was really excited to try Memories of Shanghai but unfortunately they served me raw shrimp dumplings. I understand mistakes happen but considering the seriousness of this they were not very apologetic nor did they seem to care very much about this mistake. And yes, we still had to pay for the bill. Again, mistakes happen but this should have been handled differently to show that they care about their customers and food safety. I would not recommend this place considering they don’t mind potentially giving customers food poisoning.
Unique dim sum experience. A little bit pricier than the flushing classics but really great quality for the forest hills area and worth it for the convenience. The flavors were a bit different as well but a good variation on the normal.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesDelivery: Yes
Nice place in a nice area. Food is good. The Pan Fried Noodle with Seafood was a bit saltier than my taste. The name of this place in Chinese is also very special
Wonderful restaurant offering an authentic take. There are a large number of items on the menu. All of what we tried were flavorful and on point. The shiitake with Bok choy was delicately done, but while simple was exhausting taste. The cumin lamb had the right amount of cumin flavor and the lamb was not overpowered by it. The dumplings may not be for everyone as the soup ones are pork based. The chicken ones were ok, but if you are used to Nepalese style momo’s obviously these will be very different. Prices can be a little high when compared to other restaurants, but worth it in my opinion. They followed COVID related measures and we felt safe. Great experience overall!
Great place. Definitely off the main strip which is nice since it’s more of relaxed and quiet atmosphere. Food was genuine and delicious. We had pork soup dumplings, they were soooo good. They also serve green jasmine tea which was also refreshing. The pork buns were my absolute favorite. I asked for chili paste and once I added that it was everything I needed. Great spot l, great service hope to return again soon!
I enjoyed the the shredded pork and garlic sauce, probably the best I’ve eaten. Good balance of flavor without it being too spicy. It goes great with plain noodles or white or brown rice. The steam chicken was good as well with the special soy sauce in the side. The stir fried rice cake was bleh and plain. Definitely subpar as it wasn’t salted enough with no stir fried flavor. Highly recommending against that.
Delicious and fast! Food was out so quickly my family assumed it was prepared/ready in some way already, but who cares when it's still so tasty. Hot and sour soup wasn't the largest portion but everything else was meatballs, beef noodle soup, pork belly & tofu knots. Would come again or order again!
Updating. They have a Nan Xiang Xiaolong Bao style menu now. Soup dumplings were on par with the ones in Flushing. Great Shanghainese noodle dishes. Prices are also cheap. Highly recommend.
Memories of Shanghai just moved to their new location with wider space and more seats. The new decor looks much cleaner, brighter and cozier than the old one. Customers need to place their orders online via scanning the QR code. The wait was pretty bad about 40 minutes for a 5-items order and the system was really unstable that the owner couldn’t find our order due to the lack of information on the printed receipt. We had Shanghai Sticky Rice ShaoMai, Shrimp Dumpling, Pan Fried Pork Bun, Scallion Pancake with Beef and Pork Ribs /w Sweet & Sour Sauce to share with 3 people. The food was pretty delicious with decent portion. However, it’s overall too greasy especially for the pork bun. It’s still a perfect place when we are eager for dim sum or Shanghai cuisine. Congrats to their moving and we will continue to support them once in a while.
