LOVE this park! It seems to have everything you want in a neighborhood park. Plus, it has to be the most well kept park I’ve ever been to.
Beautiful park. Lots of picnic tables. Good mixture of open areas and tree shaded areas. Bathrooms are super clean. My kids loved the play equipment, and there is a nice big open area for just running and playing. And you can rent the indoor area for parties starting at only $35 an hour.
A real hidden gem. It's large, private, quiet, and an excellent mixture of new and old equipment. A pretty ideal park for kiddos and dogs
Metzger Park might be little but it packs a punch. Playground has a real classic merry-go-round. There are tennis courts. My personal favorite? A basketball court. I am undefeated going one-on-one against my dad here. When I want to hoop, this is where I hoop. Six and a half hoops and mini covered bleachers so my mom can watch me hit a clean fadeaway from midrange. I see a lot of people gather at Metzger for summer parties and there’s hardly a better place than under the aged pines. And I can take in the view after absolutely posting up my dad in the paint.
It's one of our favorite parks. Lots of shade and cool breezes! Go to park for allot of islanders! They people are always playing basketball! The yard is big enough to throw a football. The kids have a big slide AND it's one of the only parks, that I know of, that has a merry-go-round! There's just something about this park that makes it one of our favorites? Don't forget, they have an all-purpose building we can reserve and hold events!
This small park is ringed by trees. It has playground equipment, basketball courts, there are trails but I haven't hiked them yet. I love stopping here with my lunch and a book - it's perfect.
Great neighborhood park. It includes a play area, tennis courts, a community center, open space and a short nature trail tucked away along a little creek. I visit this park frequently as part of a neighborhood walk
Nice, quiet, forested park with play equipment, a field, picnic tables w/garbage can and a bathroom facility. Great for bday parties.
Nice park with a good playground and facilities. People were doing yoga there. Tennis and basketball hoops too I thought I saw.
Even in litigious 2022 they have managed to keep their merry-go-round. The shade offered by the tall trees makes this a very pleasant park to visit. Playground: In addition to a taller-than-usual play structure, they also have a rarely seen merry-go-round. Picnic area: Picnic tables are sparse and uncovered, but shaded by trees.
