Having grown up in So Cal, I can say this place makes pretty good buritos. Good veggie/healthful options black beans, whole wheat, etc. The salsa bar is always fresh, but kinda small. Prices are descent for the size of the burrito. 5 stars if they were a little lower.
Used to give this a 3* based on food quality/taste. They are now a solid 1*. Tried to order a burrito bowl without rice and beans. when i asked for veggies to be added they wanted to charge me extra even though i just removed half the bowl. veggies are a "filler" and cost extra. Ridiculous. I left without completing my order and will not return. Do yourself a favor and head over to Boca Grande instead. Food and service is way better.
middling. like others, I'll say it has declined in quality. prices, like anywhere in Kendall, have increased. burritos ARE tasty, but somehow don't cohere- it doesnt really taste Mexican. the sauce selection at the condiments area, are fewer, but still good, esp the Pasilla. but XL burritos no longer avail, nor mixing up fillings half one, half another. It feels like they are phoning it in.....
I came here for lunch and had the worst quesadilla ever last week, I think it was 6/29/2016. The tortilla was burnt, it was only half filled, and there was almost no cheese. The salsa was mostly unripened tomatoes, hard and green. The guacamole was also mostly unripened tomatoes and onion, and was very light/creamy as if it was entirely filler and no avocado at all. I was extremely disappointed with my food and will not come back.
It's quite ordinary. Not very flavorful. The salsa is bad. There is a guy who works there who has long greasy hair and isn't even wearing a hair net. He put me off ever eating there again...
Tasty fresh cali style burritos and awesome filling salads my favorite is the chopped salad w chipotle chicken, pumpkin seeds, chopped seasonal veggies mmm. I eat here at least once a week. Friendly team, too!
Not a hint of spice to be found. I swear they even extracted all the heat from the jalapenos at the topping bar. "Habanero" salsa tastes like pasta sauce...
Clean tasting food, but bland & Americanized "Mexican't"... Only again if I wanted to be reminded of food that's been ethnically neutered, or to send those with fearful pallets but who are still brave enough to go somewhere that isn't Taco Bell
Tasty burrito with a generous portion. More of a Cali style than Tex Mex. Closing by the end of November though.
Awesome and speedy lunch spot. Great specials. Build your own burrito, bowl, taco, etc. Tasty and fresh!
