The definition of an average restaurant. Service was adequate, food is acceptable. It's a place you go to when you extremely hung over, close to death from starvation and need to get your Mexican fix fast. Definitely not a place you will remember or want to return to.Food: 3/5
This place was amazing! One of the best Mexican restaurants I have tried. My whole family keeps raving about it. I originally found it as a listing on the phantom gourmet website and decided to go based the great reviews and the huge menu. They were able to fit our party of 8 easily. The margaritas were awesome and the chips were warm. We got a wide variety of food and we all loved it. I got the chicken and steak fajitas and forgot to take a picture they were so good! Everyone had big portions too which is always a plus. Their rice was great, tasted very fresh. The staff were extremely friendly. I would definitely recommend trying this place if you have not. My family is already planning our next visit lol Parking: Easy street parking in front of the restaurant and a parking lot next to the restaurant
I will start by saying I’ve been here a couple of times largely because of how great the food is. We strongly believe the portions, quality and price are excellent value. The ambiance is always lively and popping. Great music and a nice patio area out back when the weather heats up. The service is the only negative of this restaurant, but it is a big one. Although the receptionist and employees who refill your chips/salsa are extremely friendly and nice, the waiters always provide poor service. Our bad experience with waiter Oscar resulted in this review. We were seated quickly and received our first round of chips/dip. Great. While checking out the menu, our waiter Oscar asked if we were ready to order. Nope, still need a minutes to decide. Ok, no problem. 20 minutes go by without a word from Oscar. Even then, I understand it’s Father’s Day and busy, so I can let that go. However, I see Oscar waiting the adjacent tables very attentively and grab his attention so we can order our food. I’m given a curt and rude “give me a second” before he disappears again. Finally he reappears and I’m able to put in my order, however this experience dampened my mood and ruined an otherwise pleasant evening. Although he took forever to wait on us for food, he had no problem being quick to get the bill and take my card. Not sure I’ll return but IF I do, I will make sure to get a different waiter.
This Mexican restaurant was pretty good & it was actually pretty good. The service was a lil slow, but the food made up for the longer than usual wait. The menu was pretty big lots of options to go with. The enchiladas suizas were not bad, the beans & rice were great with the cabbage & the chicken wings were fantastic great spicy flavor to them. The drinks were good little bit of a kick to it & the churros for dessert were great to end the night. Overall pretty good Mexican spot for a night out.
Went here for dinner on a Thursday evening. They seemed pretty busy. Wasn't sure what to expect but I ordered a blended house margarita and the Mexico Lindo Burrito. I got the ground beef in the burrito and let me tell you it was fabulous. I would definitely order it again exactly the same way. The margarita was ok. Not enough lime flavor for my taste. Next time I will try a different margarita. Definitely recommend this spot if you're in the area.
Authentic Mexican in downtown Melrose! Sandra, our server was terrific. The food is fantastic, great portions and offered at reasonable prices. Comfortable booths for relaxed dining. I cannot recommend it enough!!!Food: 5/5
The vegetarian enchiladas never disappoint. Background music was a bit loud for my taste.Food: 5/5
My wife and I have been to this restaurant many times and had a wonderful time. However, last week experienced food poisoning and got very sick. I sent an email to the restaurant owner, but no response yet.Food: 1/5
We love this place. The staff is always friendly and the food is amazing. The margs are great. Their queso is the best - seriously. Most of the time there is a wait, but I've never waited more than 30 minutes on a Friday evening. The pollo chipotle is great as well. You can buy their salsa to go - which is fantastic. I usually grab an 8oz container for the week. Dietary restrictions: There are gluten free options with corn tortillas, but I can't guarantee they are completely celiac friendly. Parking: Parking lot available behind with other shops. Street parking - free on weekends.
I’ve been here many many times and the food is outstanding, the best Mexican food I’ve had in Massachusetts. I don’t live anywhere near there and I drive there every time I want Mexican food as every place I’ve been to in Somerville or Boston is not authentic and subpar. I have a gluten allergy and they’re able to accommodate my allergy. Fair warning the chips are not GF due to cross contamination but their Margaritas are GF so no complaints and I’ve never gotten sick from cross contamination with Gluten after eating there. My favorite things to get is the chicken or steak fajitas and also Pollo à la Crema both with corn tortillas. Truly amazing, the prices are also very reasonable - can’t recommend enough. Dietary restrictions: I have a gluten allergy and they are able to accommodate. Unfortunately their chips are fried in a shared frier so are not gluten free but many dishes can be made GF.
