Michael Plokamakis, MD, has been caring for patients in Queens for more than 28 years. He received his medical degree from the University of Guadalajara in Mexico. He went on to complete both a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in pulmonary medicine at Elmhurst Hospital Center, New York. His clinical interests include asthma, COPD, and general internal medicine. Dr.Plokamakis has received The Patients’ Choice Award (2010 – 2012), the Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2010 – 2012), and the Top Ten Doctors award (2012), all from Vitals.
