Michigan History Center

I was pleasantly surprised by the breadth and scope of the Michigan Historical Museum. From its earliest known inhabitants to the arrival of Europeans to the long road to development. It's a varied and colourful history with significant eras showcased in visually interesting ways. Some of the docents are extremely helpful and insightful. Definitely a good day out with the family, wrapped up with a nice walk and visit to the State Capital building.

You DEFINITELY need to see this place! One of the most wonderful museums you will ever visit. Was even part of an episode of the Mysteries at the Museum tv show. Low admission price and FREE on Sundays. Plan to spend at least 3 hours there or you won't do it justice. Come and take a wonderful trip through Michigan history! 🤗🤗

Free on Sundays. Very interesting. Took me an hour to walk through and looking at everything. Will take longer if you read it all. Staff is knowledgeable.

Great experience for myself and my children! Took my children so that I could work on a project for one of my college courses and they loved the whole experience! Both children were able to make their own special fish hooks to take home! This was a major win as my daughter had just learned all about fishing through a school program last spring!

Nice place to go learn about Mi's history. We enjoyed our stay. The volunteers were very good at sharing their knowledge. My kids asked alot of questions and they were kind enough to answer each one of them. P.S free entry on Sundays
