Super polite and friendly staff. I started here because of a mailer with a good price for an oil change. I had a little trouble getting scheduled online, but when I called, they answered promptly and told me they'd work me in. I left my car because I wasn't in a rush. They did the work and gave me some helpful observations on things I might need to attend to soon. No pressure! I have been looking for a shop with friendly and competent staff and I think I've found it.Service: Oil change

Took our car in today to get the brakes checked out because they were very squeaky. We just bought the car so wanted to make sure everything was good to go with the brakes. We expected them to charge us to take off the tires and check the brakes but they were very nice and helpful and made sure the brakes were up to spec free of charge! We will be back to service our cars here and recommend this Midas location.

I'm from out of town and arrived in Des Moines on Friday of Labor Day weekend with brakes problems. I called right away and a nice lady got me an appointment for 8:30 Saturday. I checked in with a nice man named Riley. I left the car. He called with the estimate and explained the needed repairs. He also emailed me the repair order and results of my vehicle inspection. They had my car back to me with new brakes before 5 that day. Thank you so much Riley for your patience with me and the guys there that got my car back so quick on a holiday weekend. Went in for a regular oil change, and saw Misty, who informed me of the new management. I have to say I was impressed by her knowledge of services and all they included per my specific suv. She was very detailed in what would be included in the factory scheduled maintenance coolant flush and my general oil change. She went above and beyond to print out future factory schedules for maintenance and helped me look at some tires. She wasn’t overly aggressive when telling me what needed to be done and left it completely up to me to add services from my original oil change request. I reluctantly agreed to any maintenance that needed done scheduled by my dealership and man I’m glad I did! Jeep runs great and is in perfect running condition. This was my first time going to Midas. I was very pleased with how fast and friendly everyone was to me. With the free courtesy check they give they informed me I had an oil leak. Never would of known this with out them. I would definitely recommend!Services: Oil change

this is a 0 star for the consumer benefits, please read carefully if you are coming for a repair ‍ It was my first time doing a mechanical repair and I was shocked by it. I will come back for a detailed review on my horrible billing experience here, but leaving the 5 stars so the algorithm didn’t hide the review, but for the consumer benefits please look into the below: : Job was done for Toyota Prius 2010. : They have a system glitch that will add the coupon I paid 3059.00$ for rotter, brake pads, and calipers change, they gave me a 100$ discount but they added it to my bill instead of deducting it if you are doing an oil change cross check your bill, I had to call my CC company to put a hold in the transaction. I found out the dealer will charge me less for the job I did here. : parts prices are markup to more than 100% from the market. DON’T TRUST the manager MISTY always get a second opinion : I was in the shop and the repair took way less than billed and they didn’t update my invoice, they said that is a federal application practice we will not change your billing for labor, but they will change it if for parts only. I was a quota for 5.5 hrs for round break changes, it was done in 2 hrs but still billed the 5.5 hrs = 840$ for it. I will post pictures for my estimate and final review invoice. : BE AWARE, During the oil change they will bring your air filter to you and try to get you to change it for the markup double price, RUN AWAY IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY I talked to their manager and he said we are doing every thing by the books marking up prices, labor charge with the only estimate oil break-job management parts change price fluid crew transmission routine maintenance oil filter tires valves excellent good winter summer fast speed

Midas has become my new go to spot! They're very transparent about their pricing and estimates. I really appreciate Misty and their awesome customer service. Highly recommend them for your car service needs.

Midas did an inspection for a noise I was hearing. I needed wheel bearing and front CPR… calipers, pads and rotors. Misty the store manager was very knowledgeable, professional and helpful in getting me the services and financial assistance needed for the repair. I was a little apprehensive about Midas as I had a family member who had a TERRIBLE experience with them in another state. However, I received top service and will return Midas on Douglas Avenue.
