Warm and caring and extremely knowledgeable. It is a father daughter team and I love that. They care about your pet and your wallet. Doesn’t try to get you to buy expensive foods, treatments or tests like many other places I have been. I’m so glad I found Dr. Stephanie K. She’s amazing! My dogs love it here and so do I!
We’ve been using MAC for our pets for 3+ years now and have never been let down. They have taken care of all of our needs and are always kind and helpful, with reasonable pricing for an in-town clinic. We’ve continued to go here even after moving to Indiana because we love them!

Literally the best vet we have ever been to. They take such good care of our fur babies and even cater the one with crazy high vet anxiety. Couldn’t dream of going anywhere else! We are so lucky to have a vet office that cares so much!
UPDATE: Before you read the incident below, my poor cat died less than a month following this review. Thanks Erik Voet! My family and I have been taking our pets to Middletown Animal Clinic for over 30 years. After rude, unethical, and unprofessional customer service from Erik Voet today, this 3 decade relationship has come to an abrupt and unexpected end. Today 5/13/22, I called in an attempt to make an emergency appointment for my 11 year-old cat who has been vomiting up blood. The first person I spoke to rude and short tempered, yet not nearly as egregious as Erik Voet’s discourtesies claimed they couldn’t see my cat until the end of next week. I asked if there was anyway they could squeeze my cat in today because of the severity of her illness. The women told me that they would squeeze me in today if they actually had a relationship with my family and my pets. This remark made me feel dejected and sad, especially since this is the vet I’ve been going to since I was a child. I remember the good ole days of Dr. Bishop. I asked to speak to someone else because I was very worried about my cat, and I was desperately trying to get her seen by the doctor. I was transferred to speak to Erik Voet. The level at which he mishandled the conversation was insulting, petty, unprofessional, and borderline childish. Erik wouldn’t let me explain the situation, citing that I hadn’t brought in my cat since 2019. In an attempt to rebuke Erik’s comment, I explained how I was unable to secure timely appointments with Middletown Animal Clinic during the pandemic. In turn, I was forced to take my animals to a vet clinic nearby I was always willing to make the drive to Middletown because I at one time trusted and loved the clinic. At this point, I began to feel sad and dejected as I pleaded for my cat to be seen. In no way I was rude or assertive, yet Erik kept speaking over me and wouldn’t let me explain myself. If anything, I was just like any animal parent worried for his feline companion. I felt like I was part off their family, and to be treated as unimportant as Erik treated me, I was genuinely saddened. Erik responded by calling me a “bully” and then told me that I was “fired” as a customer. When I asked to speak to the doctor, Erik denied this request and repeatedly asked me: “are you done?”. I again requested to speak to the doctor. Erik said the doctor might call me later and hung up on me! I have an extensive experience with customer/client relations. The way Erik Voet handled my concerns today do not uphold the ethical or morale responsibilities of a customer service representative. To think that this is how I was spoken to as I’m worrying that my cat could have a fatal illness is sickening. Moreover, if Erik Voet was chosen to represent the Middletown Animal Clinic, perhaps they should reconsider who is dealing with customers. If he spoke to me this way today, it’s very likely that I’m not the first victim of his dismissive and sophomoric approach to customer care. I plan to follow this complaint with a written grievance to the Kentucky Board of Veterinary Examiners.
