I saw the review that Midwest helped someone fix a piece of siding that came loose so I called to get an estimate for having them re-attach the cap to our vent pipe on the roof. The customer service rep (female) was very rude and tried to send me to a sheet metal worker. (without letting me explain the situation) I tried to explain why I just need to hire a roofer to go up and re-attach the piece, she was rude again and said they weren't the 'type' of company willing to do this for me and it would cost way too much. She told me to look for a smaller company. Not polite or helpful. I'll be taking all of our siding and roofing to another local company. I'm a Maple Grove resident and this would have been an easy job. If they weren't willing to do it, at least they could be professional, helpful and kind. They presented the image that they are too good to waste their time even discussing this job over the phone.
The information below says I gave a budget of $150. False. I told them we had another job completed at this price that was similar and that I would just like to see how much it would cost. She gave a snarky reply saying they wouldn't come anywhere near that. I was willing to hear an estimate. The purpose of this post was because the customer service tone and response was very rude. The entire purpose of customer service is to present tone and image of your company. She was VERY RUDE with a very demeaning tone which I haven't heard with other companies. It's also false that roofing companies don't put vent caps on. This is how they are installed/replaced. We just need someone to go on the roof to re-attach. She was dismissive and not willing to listen as I tried to explain. Very short, very demeaning and wanted me off the phone. Just trying to give you information. I would want to know if I was the owner.
Also false: She did NOT say she would refer me to a handyman. She told me to look for one! The two are VERY different. We have done so in the past and they direct us to roofing/siding companies because they don't go on the roof. I tried to explain this to her as well. But again, she wouldn't listen.
update! I went to another roofing company in Maple Grove! (following the advice from Midwest) They can do the job at a reasonable price and WERE VERY HELPFUL, professional and kind! I was right... this was a roofing/siding company job. Too bad you weren't willing to listen. Treating people well at ALL TIMES is the type of company I'm looking for. They will get my positive review and future business. I will also be sharing with friends and family.

The Midwest Exterior Crew have been fantastic to work with! My claim was for both roofing and siding AND I am a first time home owner, so the task of managing through this process felt like it was going to be a challenge, but then I hired on Midwest. These guys have been so helpful dealing with the challenges that can arise related to insurance, home repair, and claims processing! Mark, and his crews were amazing to work with; as was Laine Swanson. Laine was invaluable helping with submitting forms and claim information to both the insurance and mortgage companies. The work was top notch and my new roof and siding looks amazing! Thanks Midwest-#midwest5stars

We have had Midwest do our roof and windows when we moved in our home in 1997 and when we had tornado damage. They are excellent. We have our home inspected regularly by them and they are very honest when there is no damage. We have never needed any additional repairs after they installed our roof and windows, trim and roof until the tornado over 12 yrs (estimated) later. They are friendly, knowledgeable and came when the insurance company was there inspecting too so we knew exactly what to look for so all damages were covered!!

I recently had a home inspection on a house I was in the process of purchasing, and there was some question about hail damage to the roof. I called Midwest Exteriors to come out to inspect the roof and maybe provide an estimate for any needed repairs. Chris Gabiou, a sales rep, met me the next day at the address. Upon an exterior inspection of the roof, he gave me his opinion that there was no apparent structural damage to the roof/shingles and so it was unlikely to warrant an insurance claim. He could have tried to convince me otherwise so as to try to secure some work for his company, but instead he was honest and up front with me, which I appreciate. I will definitely keep his name in my book for future needs that might arise. Thanks again, Chris.

We would recommend Sales Representative Chris Gabiou to anyone. He is very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Chris worked well with our insurance company and all paperwork was done in a timely matter.
He is good at following up with things and keeping you informed.
