I am a 52-year-old disabled African American. I found this establishment on Google because it’s close to where I live. The owner was rude, disrespectful and dismissive. He looked at me and asked, “What do you want?” I replied, I would like an item tailored. He states, “You gotta wait!” Meanwhile, there were other customers, who were white, being taken care of. He asked me what would you like tailored? I told him a shirt. He responds, “I don’t do shirts!” As I looked around the store there were shirts and other items hanging there that were done or being worked on. Sadly, one of my close friends witnessed this event.

I bought my suit from Garage Clothing & was told by two people to bring it to Mike to get it tailored & was told by both associates, “If anyone could do it, Mike could do it! He’s the best”. Yeah right... , this guy was really dismissive, arrogant, rude, had a chip on his shoulder. As soon as I walked in he looked me up & down with a sarcastic smirk on his face probably because of my tattoos. He did greet me though, I’ll give him that. He proceeded to ask me what I wanted & I followed up with a picture as an example. He then said “I could probably do it but it won’t look like that” so I was willing to get it done but I wanted to see a rough draft to see what it could look like & he followed up with “No, I can’t, I cant I never could”, at first I thought he was being sarcastic but he was dead serious. So he proceeded again “what do you want me to do” & I said again “Theirs no way to show me at all?” I’ve been to a few tailors and they were able to pin it and show me and have told me it were possible” this guy looked like he didn’t wanna do it at all and then replied “I’m not going to do it now , I dont want to do it, goodbye”. I’m not an aggressive person so I brushed him off too and left. I wouldn’t go to him. Unless your last name is Russo, DeMartino, or Agnello, he probably won’t do your suit”

I went to this place for the first time. I had my father pick up the dry cleaning and when he brought it home, it turned out I was given someone else's shirts. When I showed up with the shirts to get mine back, not only did they not apologize, but were extremely rude. They told me to leave the shirts and they'll call me. I mentioned that since I no longer have my original ticket, without the shirt, I would have no way of proving that they still owe me my shirts. I was told, "you should trust me". I said that unless I can get a receipt, I'll take the shirts back with me until they can call me with my shirts. I was told, "fine, take the shirts and get out!" as I left, he called me about 10 minutes later demanding that I come back IMMEDIATELY because the other customer brought my shirts back. I did get my shirts back, but they never so much as acknowledged that something about this entire experience was less than ideal servicing...

Had my suit tailored. It was ready in a half an hour and it was done very well and good price too.
