Very dangerous camp. If you are a parent and your teen would like to attend mac please keep this in consideration.
I attended the basic training course in 2017.
As a 17 year old I did not seem to notice the inconsistency and gross negligence of saftey until i became educated after leaving the camp. I truely did have a great time. Although there was many incidents (sexual assults, live fire in male barracks, many injurys some serious that they refused to get proper assessment for.) I am a certified emt, when they found that out i was put on as the top medical personnel (deal with all sickness, injurys and illegally dispense perscribed medications to cadets) Even though i paid $2500 to attend camp i was unable to fully participate due to them being unprepared for cadets, but i genuinely cared for the kids' saftey that surrounded me. There are other camps like this that are more professional and safe, please dont put your child at risk sending them to this camp.

April 2018
FYI: Ocala, Florida:
A19-year-old accused of shooting through a classroom door in his former high school and injuring a student previously attended a teen military camp in Kentucky.
Sky Bouche attended the Military Adventure Camp in Flemingsburg. The 50-plus acre camp offers a high adventure military experience. As they advertise on their website, the camp is where "kids ages 12-18 learn to shoot assault-style rifles and practice sniper skills and hand-to-hand combat."
Camp Headmaster Jay Whitehead tells says he has no military experience, but once worked as the Chief Administrative Officer for a former Lexington Mayor.

This organization has had incidences involving attempted sexual assault on young teenage girls while being supervised by a person that claims to be a forensic pathologist but is not even a MD.. They have had an incidence of an accidental discharge of a weapon in a barracks room. There are unreported knife fights and violence that are covered up. There is zero actual full time military or prior military leadership at this organization. All of this can be verified through the Fleming County Sheriff's who is aware of these incidences.

Loved their summer program. My daughter came home more mature, confident and with goals for her life.
Staff was great always attentive and seemed to know my daughter very well.
She will start school there this week, because she has made such major improvements during the summer I can't wait what the school year will do for her.
Only four stars, because some of the buildings are in need of repair. I know they are old and they are a work in progress.
