I am so glad I found Milkweed Arts! We took the pen turning class and it was so fun. The owner was our instructor and he was a great teacher and made sure we were a success in class. The store is well stocked and has a greate set up. Scheduling my next class today!
I had such a great time making my glass fused photo frame. It came out so very cool! Class was well organized and comfortable and the instructor gave direction and help when needed. I highly recommend this class.
I have been a glass artisan creating in several forms of glass for over 25 years. I recently took a class at Milkweed Arts with Lois Manno.on Glass Clay Sculpting and was wonderful. The facility was clean and organized with excellent help from the staff. All the student tools and supplies were ready for our use. I felt that both Lois and the Milkweed staff went out of their way to be accommodated and friendly. I would highly recommend most any class that is offered.
HIghly recommend taking glass fusion classes with Milkweed Arts. I rarely review my experiences with anything online, but Milkweed Arts has been a major highlight in my year thus far. The classes are informative and casual. Absolutely no experience is needed to create beautiful glass objects and art.
I wanted to order a bride and groom silhouette on line. But they only had ones with the bride with a bun. I wanted one with the brides hair down. I wrote and told them. Within hours I had a response, with a new hair down bride. I ordered it and added a dog silhouette. They both came together. The dog had a broken leg. I emailed them and within days I got a new one. Both silhouettes are beautiful and I am using them to attach to a "Welcome to the Wedding mirror ". Milkweed Arts went above and beyond to make sure I got the pieces I ordered and that they would make it in time for the wedding. I love this Company.
I have taken several classes at Milkweed Arts and have really enjoyed them all! From wood turning, to fused glass, and even soldering jewelry, the wide variety of classes I have taken here have been very well organized. The instructors are all very competent, both in house Warren as well as guest instructors. I've really been impressed with the quality of the classes here. There is a well stocked retail store with Bullseye glass and frits, stained glass supplies, and even wooden pen blanks for using a lathe. The prices are quite reasonable too! I really enjoy going to Milkweed Arts. It's a clean, well organized facility. There is art throughout the lobby and in the classrooms for inspiration and enjoyment. It's a great place to get the creative juices flowing!
Milkweeds Arts is a most welcoming place for artists of all levels of experience. Warren is a most gracious host, teacher and glass artist. Milkweeds is the place to hone your skills, meet fellow glass enthusiasts and buy the glass and tools needed to create your own most cherished work. Classes are available for all levels, creativity is welcome and you will enjoy the company of others each along his or her own journey. Milkweeds is my most favorite place to be, to work, to create and to learn. Everyone is welcome.
Milkweed Arts is my happy place! They offer art classes and workshops in several different media, but I participate in fused glass classes. Warren, the owner, is an amazing teacher. He is creative, supportive, and knowledgeable in the processes. The studio offers many areas in which to work with all the necessary tools and supplies. Warren also brings in renowned artists to teach workshops. Check it out. You may find that Milkweed Arts is your happy place, too!
