Dr. Schell was extremely helpful to us in our situation with our daughter. Our daughter had undiagnosed endometriosis for years and was unable to get help from any of the obgyn's we took her to. We had one appointment with Dr. Schell and had surgery scheduled two days later to make sure she would get help before she left for college. The wait time may be a bit longer, but when you realize what you are getting in care it makes sense. She is very thorough and makes sure she is solving the problem, not just pushing you through the system. What a refreshing experience for us after years of little to no solutions!
I am extremely happy so far. Dr. Schell has been wonderful quickly getting to the root of my Infertility problem. Yes, the wait time is a little long at appointments but she more than makes up for it with her bed side matter. She listens to your concerns answers your questions and always makes sure you understand what is being explained. I've always received calls back from staff when I've left messages. Staff has been friendly and helpful too. Dr. Schell genuinely cares about her patients. I've never had a doctor hand me their personal number incase I run into questions on the weekends. I'm very confident she will help us. I will even leave an updated review later on.
Dr. Schell is very personable and makes me feel like I have her full attention when in the room. She has come in early on weekends just to accomodate us. She wasted no time ordering tests to look for a cause of our recurrent miscarriages. I can text her any time I have questions. I feel like I am in good hands and am so glad I made the switch. Edit: Thanks to Dr.Schell we were able to have a healthy baby. She was so thorough and compassionate to our situation. She actually was the one who discovered a genetic condition that was causing me to lose my pregnancies and actually had caused problems with other family members who were not aware of the condition. We owe so much to Dr.Schell.
I have been seeing Dr. Sportiello for roughly 8 years. She knows her stuff. Where other doctors had told me I'd never have kids, she told me we'd figure it out, and we did. She's kind, and really listens to your concerns. Lynette, her MA, is simply delightful and so helpful. I saw 3 out of 4 of the doctors with my second pregnancy due to my scheduling issues, and I really liked that no matter who I was seeing, they all had their own ways of doing things, but provided excellent care.
I went here on a friends recommendation, however I should have asked more than one friend. Just trying to make an appointment was a challenge. Something was/is wrong when you get hung up on/put on hold multiple times. That was my first red flag. I didn't like that I had to go in 3, almost 4 times, and my issue wasn't even fixed. I had a great conversation with Dr. Schell about buying gift online, but I had to wait for almost 20 minutes in my paper sheet before she even came into the room. Definitely recommending a new gynecologist for my friend.
I would not recommend this "doctors office" to anyone who is expecting a baby. The nurses, office staff and ultra sound techs were wonderful but Dr. Melanie K Schultz is literally the worst. On top of her being incredibly judgemenal and unhelpful, she also body shames pregnant women. The two visits I had with her before finding a new practice she spent about 5 minutes actually with me. I tried explaining to her that I had previous post partum depression, and she totally dismissed me. I did not trust her to deliver my baby.
I have been seeing Dr. Schell for about two years now. She is the 6th gyno that I have been to for ongoing menstrual issues over about 13 years. She diagnosed me with PCOS after about 30 minutes, whereas every other doctor had missed it, and made sure I got the tests that day to verify the diagnosis. She also found cancer in my endometrial lining at the earliest possible stage. From what I've gathered this type often goes undiagnosed until later stages in women my age mid-late 20's. Yes I have had to wait longer than my scheduled time for appointments, but she has also made me a priority when others may not have. The thorough care she provides, and time she takes to explain things and alleviate concerns far outweighs any waiting I've had to do. She's a wonderful doctor!
Dr. Schell is the best OBGYN doctor in Milwaukee! Hands down! She goes above and beyond to make sure you and the baby are doing great all throughout the pregnancy and labor process!
Dr schell was late to almost all my apts when i had to go in being treated for infertility. I loved dr sportello but left the facility when schell came into the practice
