This is going to be a long review that I’ve been waiting to make since I moved out. First off, the apartment is great, awesome location, clean and relatively affordable for the location. I lived here for 2 years and have no complaints about the physical building A little bit about myself before I start the rant. I am a young adult who has been renting in the Milwaukee area for 8 years. I have always received 100% of my security deposit back at every apartment and have never been turned down on an application or missed a payment. The building manager ruined the entire experience and is the reason I’m positing this review. There were multiple instances where the manager knocked on my door and yelled and I mean, yell…everyone in the hallway could hear them for reasons that were 100% unwarranted. 1. For not locking the community room after renting it even though it’s not required in the contract and 2. Trying to host a hallway party. I’m just going to recite some things they they yelled. “You Have poor choice in friends”, “I don’t know what’s going through your head, but this is one of the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen”, “you have no care for anyone but yourself”, “were you even thinking or is this how you normally act”, “I could fine you so much for this”. I could go on…it was a 2 minute barrage both times and I wasn’t able to get a word in. Also, the instance I rented the community room, was January 1st at 8:50am….poundddinggg on my door to wake me up to yell at me becuase I didn’t lock the community room. I have never dealt with a more incompetent, off the rails, wildly inappropriate building manager in my entire life and I strongly encourage you steer clear of this place solely because of them. I also had to pay more than the security deposit that I put down make sure to clean the window boards after you move out….

I have been with Jackson Square for over 3 years and have loved my experience living here. The living space has quality craftsmanship, and the building itself is quiet and always highly maintained. If there is a maintenance issue, it is conducted promptly. The staff and particularly Nicole, the property manager, is so wonderful and makes living here so seamless. Great location to all things in the Ward, and easy access to downtown and surrounding areas.

Best apartment experience I’ve had in Milwaukee! Love being so close to everything the third ward has to offer. Apartments are large and spacious with awesome floor to ceiling windows. Maintenance requests are fixed quickly. Never had a safety concern. Overall, great place to call home!

I could not have been happier spending the past four+ years at Jackson Square. If I wasn’t leaving the area, I would have remained there for years to come. During my time at JS, I developed a tremendous relationship with the property manager, Nicole, who was responsive at all hours, including on weekends. The JS staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making my life much easier. And JS’s management was always willing to work with me, even allowing me to switch units mid lease. The past 2+ years, I occupied one of the end units of the “U” shape, facing the courtyard. The unit was incredibly spacious with floor to ceiling windows throughout. The open concept was great for hosting, and the closet was enormous. I much preferred the flooring to the carpet you find at other buildings nearby, and the balcony was my favorite place in the summer. JS also has a great location. While many Third Ward buildings have little, if any, street parking, my guests were always able to find a spot. And you’re only a couple blocks from a dozen places to eat or drink. I had a great time a JS, and I’ll truly miss it!

Re-Locating From NYC to MKE we know what makes an apartment  a  great Home. Walk-able City Lifestyle. Floor to ceiling windows, a terrace, plenty of natural light and Good Management.  The team here is always active, cleaning, shoveling snow, helping us keep our appliances working, they even power washed the garage! Whaat? We have been here just over a year and consider Jackson Square to be a gem in the Third Ward. Where else can you build a snowman on your terrace just outside your apartment window.

We've lived at JS for 3.5 years now and couldn't be happier! Our apt is bright and spacious. Nicole Property Manager has always responded promptly to any requests or concerns and the building is very well maintained. If you're looking for a great place to live in the 3rd Ward, with a FANTASTIC location, JS is the place for you.

Great place to live! Amazing location in the third ward with great spots to eat or grab a drink. Apartments have a lot of space and ceiling to floor windows are awesome. Balcony is a perfect amount of space and has a great view of the third ward/downtown when facing the courtyard.

We love living at JS. The building is always being cleaned and the units are up-to-date with granite countertops and stainless appliances. The management was a lot easier to work with/more accommodating than the other complexes in the area.

The apartment community is clean and the staff is friendly, I am 83 years old and everyone here has been kind to me and helpful! All my maintenance has been taken care of immediately, it's a great location! I recommend this place to anyone! Pets are also welcome!

I love living at JS! Large units with up to date appliances! I love that the common spaces are always very clean and quick responses to maintenance issues.
