Mindfish Test Prep

My tutoring experience with Augie Bennett at Mindfish was incredible. He was encouraging, personable, and always in my corner. He challenged me and made me feel confident in what I was able to accomplish. I was able to increase my ACT score by 8 points during my time tutoring with Augie and also confidently provide my test scores. I will be attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill next year and I couldn't have done it without his immense support.

Our daughter prepped for the HSTP for High School Admissions. Jason with Mindfish really helped her in the areas she struggled in on the practice test. We really appreciated the understanding of the concepts he helped her with and she always came out of each session with a great attitude. The experience was fun for her and expanded her learning and ability to test well.

I had a really great experience with Mindfish, specifically my tutor Sophia Matuszewicz. Their hands on and personalized help allowed me to work on specific areas, and reach my ACT score goal as well. I highly recommend Mindfish--we had a great experience. My son did the 1 on 1 test prep for the ACT and worked with Peter, who is a fantastic tutor. The personal attention that comes with the 1 on 1 format really made a difference, the practice tests were well organized, and communication was excellent. My son did better than his goal score on his first attempt and enjoyed both the process and the outcome.

All three of my children worked with Mindfish for their ACT and SAT preparation. Over many years the Mindfish organization has provided us with consistent and effective tutoring resulting in significantly improved scores across the board. My kids liked the convenient office locations and times for their sessions and were always matched with a tutor they enjoyed that understood their learning style. I appreciated the support and knowledgeable advice I received from the head of the organization, the tutors and the administrators in the office. Navigating the college testing process can seem overwhelming, but you are in good hands with the Mindfish Test Prep organization.

We signed our son up for the Mindfish ACT prep course after his sophomore year practice test scores were middling at best. We thought the prep was stellar. Our son attended the class sessions and then had individual tutoring. Sean was his tutor and our son couldn't have been more pleased. Although our son is not a fan of studying, he frankly didn't mind and at times even seemed to enjoy both the group and the tutoring. Mindfish was also flexible, allowing him to attend different class locations to fit his schedule. His subsequent SAT scores were remarkably good. He then took the ACT and scored very well in the science and math sections, but not so well on the English/writing ones. He went back for a few more sessions and complementary practice tests and took the ACT once more and absolutely nailed those English/writing sections. His final "super-score" was 35, and just last week he was accepted early decision to a highly competitive engineering school back East. I really don't think he would have scored so high on his testing or would have been accepted to this school without the Mindfish prep.

My daughter had a wonderful experience at mindfish. The weekend practice tests were extremely helpful for her, as they replicated real test conditions and provided her with a printed score report after taking the test. Her tutor helped her score highly on the Literature and Math II subject tests as well as the SAT. She learned great strategies and tips at mindfish that weren’t highlighted in prep books, so when it came time for the exam she felt confident in her ability to do well. Thanks Mindfish!

Ryan was simply an amazing SAT tutor and especially Math tutor! Thanks to Ryan for his confidence and trust he placed in my daughter's abilities and his compassionate coaching with short-cuts, work-arounds, alternative ways to solve problems, reminders, support, and encouragement that made all the difference for my daughter!! She scored high on ACT and also had a perfect SAT Math score!!

I was very sceptical about whether Mindfish could really help me increase my SAT scores. I worked with Ryan, and he was great! I can't imagine a better coach. He vastly improved my self-confidence and taught me a lot of strategies that really helped. My scores improved considerably. I would highly recommend Mindfish and Ryan to anyone who is going to take a standardized test.

Mindfish is an exceptional company. Our tutor, Brenton, was outstanding in every way; he spent as much time as was needed to ensure that our daughter understood the concepts, questions, methodology, etc., of the ACT.
