Missouri Coalition for the Environment

Great organization focused on making Missouri a better, healthier, more sustainable environment to live in. I've been to a couple of events and they're excellent at educating the community and advocating for cleaner air, water, energy and environment.

I am a frequent user of Missouri's Outdoor activities, but the Coalition does nothing for the environment, and any donations to them is a waste of money. Your money simply goes to pay a staff that is only interested in "making headlines" through nitwit statements. For example, the Director is quoted in the Post Dispatch that 'it made no sense for the army corps of engineers to not continuously monitor a levee" because it was "too high" in one place. The engineers pointed out that it was lower in other places, and so there was no negative effect. The only person who makes no sense is the person that doesn't realize that water flows through the lowest point.

MCE has done more for Missouri outdoors and public health as it relates to the environment than most people realize.
