Missy Stewart Designs

I collaborated with Missy Stewart on the transformation of a West University home from a traditional dated facade to a contemporary show stopper. Missy is a gifted designer with talent and vision. She was able to look at a tired stucco home and see how to take it up to a new level in design. She asked me to design a pair of custom stainless steel gas lanterns on black steel brackets for either side of the front door. The results are spectacular. The client's home looks like it was torn down and totally built from the ground up. It has clean and sleek lines and is totally transformed. The face lift for this home was a cost effective way to bring it from 1990 into the new millennium.

We have just completed our second house with Missy, and could not be happier. Since our home in Las Vegas was a new build, Missy was involved from the beginning of the process as we selected options from the builder, and then applied her expertise through to completion of all design details for the home including the outdoor living area in back. Missy does a great job of listening to her clients to understand what they want to accomplish, and offering ideas in line with that outcome as well as her own creative input. I really appreciate her attention to function as well as design, which makes our new home easy to live in and very comfortable for the way we want to use it. In addition, she always provides honest and objective opinions while remembering it is our home and our money, which has led to a fantastic result. And what a bonus that she is so much fun to work with!

Missy Stewart was the designer for the renovation of our 3000 sf first floor after Hurricane Harvey flood damage in 2017. The project was extensive, involving most of the elements of new construction. Missy's industry knowledge, professionalism and attention to detail were instrumental to its success. In addition, her communication skills and accessibility to us, our general contractor and the various vendors were key to keeping things moving. Missy is an insightful and creative designer who supports her client's goals, and her passion for her work is evident in our first floor. Our family and friends agree with us that it is a beautiful, livable space.

My family and I were recently relocating to Houston from another state. I was looking for an interior designer that could help in remodeling several of the rooms in our new home and decorating the entire 7500 sq foot house. After many rounds of research and reviews I chose Missy Stewart Designs. What a great decision! We are so happy with our renovation and all the help that Missy Stewart gave us to achieve a beautiful result. We started out with a kitchen remodel that became more of a downstairs remodel as we have an open concept floor plan. Missy was wonderful at helping us make decisions and sometimes pushing us out of our usual comfort zone to see the possibilities. We incorporated some furniture pieces that we already had with new pieces that she selected. She has a great vision and can see the whole picture where I sometimes can't see how it will all fit together. Her advice was always right on target and we are so happy with our new kitchen and downstairs remodel! We've enjoyed working with her and will absolutely have her help us with future projects. We would highly recommend her for any design project, big or small. She really cares for her clients and wants you to be happy with the results!
