I think this place is giving up itself. Cons: The sauce option is not only very limited, but also not right. The peanut and sesame sauce is like soup, watery. I’ve never seen sauces like this, not even mention the taste. Terrible. The service is slow, but the attitude is good. The soup base is another nightmare. We ordered a tomato soup base, and it turned out to be a ketchup soup! It tastes so ketchup and so thick. We had to ask the waiter to add extra water to put meat and vegetables in. Overall the food quality is just average or below average. The service is average. I thought this was a pretty good hot pot place since it started really nice. Not sure what happened. They switched to all you can eat a couple weeks ago, and i don’t think it’s gonna last long if the management team didn’t do anything about it.
Liked the old-style decor, especially the In The Mood For Love decal on the wall. Food was good, but service was lacking-they just stood in the back monkeying around with each other. Didn't even get an auto refill on glass of water. Bathroom was cute, plays old-style music while you do your business. They have a new all-you-can-eat deal now for $25.99.
They do not accept reservation since they are doing all you can eat now. Food is so so not like before. They used to serve better beef but now not everyday. Soup base is kind of salty for us but overall is ok.
Soup broths are delicious. Food options are great. Highly recommend the fried tofu skin rolls. Ambiance and decor A+. Would visit again for sure!
Mister Hotpot offers an amazing array of broths. Definitely try the creamy one. You have to order a la carte, but each item comes with a lot of food. Get the shrimp paste and the pumpkin. The place gives you a ice cream bar to finish off the meal. The seats also offer storage for your bag and a place to charge your phone. The only drawback is that their broths no.longer come with a basket of vegetables but noodles instead.
Excellent place for Hong Kong hotpot in Flushing area. Very good foods. Recommended.
One of the best hot pot restaurants in Queens, the soup and meat are fresh. And the environment is pretty nice
Updated review 9/21/2019 They switched this place to an all you can eat style. The food is less cared for. It feels like you are at an all you can eat restaurant as opposed to the chill late night hidden gem. The cups are huge plastic mugs now, the toolbox of condiments is now a bunch of metal vessels that everyone has to stand up and go to. Maybe this is better for them as far as the amount of people they can serve but we likely won't be back even though our bill was a third of what we used to pay. The atmosphere and service was worth the extra price. Too bad we really liked it. Call us if you go back to the way you were. Two stars only because their soup is still the same and tastes great. Previous four star and regular customer review: Chill atmosphere with house music playing at just the right volume. Friendly staff and tasty food. Definitely a place to come back to.
Good price for the buffet. Nice soup base, meat, and environment. Dip sauce should be improved, and the dip bar is not organized well. Tomorrow is my birthday, so we got one person free. But the tip were calculated by the server, based on 18% rate and original price without birthday discount. The price is 30.99 before tax. And we paid 45. Their service is not bad, so the price is acceptable.
Good quality hot pot. Good service. Feels slightly expensive
