So fun!! Make a reservation on their website. The more friends, the merrier. The farm is up in the hills/mountains. They have beautiful houses, goats, and lots of cats on the property so drive up slow. Cash only. They provide you with a full waiver with detailed information that you sign. They have helmets. You cannot take your keys or phone on the trail as it could scare the horse. They will hold your keys. They will take pictures of you during the ride and text to you for free. The workers on the farm were great. They were friendly and understanding. It was only my 3rd time ever on a horse. They made me feel relaxed and prepared. We went out on the trail with a few guides and walked slowly through the beautiful woods. You will go down and up a few hills. The guide stops and tells you to lean back downhill or forward uphill to keep you safe. My horse liked a little adventure on the hills and kept going on the higher side of the trail, but he showed me a good time. I had 2 scary moments, but again, I am a novice. I’ve done scarier and steeper mountains in Jamaica and Costa Rica! The hour went by fast. I was having fun chatting with friends on the flat parts and giggling at my horse’s choice of land on the hills. I highly recommend this place for a fun activity with friends/family.
The lady running the show was incredibly rude. She was talking down to other members of the group and had zero patience for anyone who wasn't an expert on a horse. The trail was nice, but the whole experience was tense because of her attitude. Would not recommend for anyone who might require some instruction. She won't have the patience for it and will disrespect you in front of the group.
This was the worst horseback riding experience I’ve ever had. The woman that runs this farm is ridiculously rude and nasty. There is no reason to have an attitude at 11am with your customers. Do you want to give trail rides or not? Because they act as if it’s an hassle! If this is how she treats customers, she probably horrible to the animals!! Every other farm I’ve been to has been peaceful and welcoming. The owner acts ask if she doesn’t want customers and hates her job. She is disrespectful and talks to adults like children. Don’t waste your time here, unless you want someone with negative energy and an extremely dark aura, attempting to disturb your day. Not to mention that we we we were asked to arrive at 11am for an 11:30 trail ride that didn’t start until 12:40pm. Having to stand around with this woman complaining, scolding, and being completely aggravating made it the longest wait imaginable. This is after this same woman called me the day before my ride to reschedule, because a guide was not available. Instead of being nasty and impatient with her, I understood. So instead being obnoxious and arrogant, you can learn something from your customers. It takes an extreme level of patience having to deal with a nasty individual like the owner. Will NOT be back!
My wife wanted to go horseback riding so we went to Misty Mannor and had a great day/date. The staff and guides were awesome from setting the appointment to mounting and dismounting the horses. We still talk about our horses by name and will most definitely return many more times to visit and ride them. I highly recommend trying them out and getting your own experience while making memories with your friends and loved ones
Super day!! Very pleasant and friendly staff, Gina was warm and welcoming and Josie was a highly skilled guide. Had sooo much fun...will defo be back. Anybody going needs to plan to be there well in advance for paperwork and be considerate of other riders in group. No problem getting there early and seeing horses and sitting in shade. Trails are well shaded...going on sunny day will not effect your experience. Thank you Gina and Josie
Our experience on a trial ride was wonderful. We had four trail guides one or two were in training for six riders. It was a beautiful ride through the snow covered woods. The trail guides were cautious for the safety of the riders and the horses. The guides were especially good with several young riders in our group. We saw deer and enjoyed an adventurous ride through the woods. The horses were healthy and well trained. I would recommend riding at Misty Manor.
I've been coming here for 20+ years. Judy is the absolute best! I've purchased several horses from her and she's the real deal. If you're looking for a solid horse of your own or just a good afternoon ride, this is your place. Please drive slowly - there's kids and animals all over the place. Thanks for everything Judy!
This farm is great! Everyone was so nice an careful in explaining everything we needed to know! We definitely recommend it! Thank you very much Misty Manor!
Absolutely beautiful location with wonderful, caring, helpful people! I am physically disabled and they make sure that my experience is as safe as possible for me and the horses.
My friends and I recently went to this business for a trail ride. It was something we all wanted to do for a while and we were very excited. The lady in charge of the operation was possibly the rudest person I’ve ever had to deal with. Entire trail ride she was very condescending with every instruction she gave and did I mention she was RUDE! Do not waste your money here please there are so many other places where you’ll at least get treated like an actual customer for the money you spend at the business.
