Mizu

I've been going to Sheridan for years -- she's the only person who's been able to tame my mane, and she's hilarious. The staff is always friendly, the space is clean and bright, wouldn't go anywhere else.

I went her to get my hair styled for a photo shoot I was having at my work. I showed him a pic and it didn't come out at all like what I showed him. I'm sad i had to sit through an hour of styling pay 100$ only to have to put my hair in pony tail because it really did not look good. I didn't have time to ask him to fix it. The guy was very nice but hair looks awful. If you can't make something look like the picture shown then just say that. Really sad about my hair.Service: Hairstyling

Amazing location and amazing colorist! When you come here, see Alexis! She is amazing and she is easygoing and easy to talk to. If they treat you well as a hair model imagine how you will be treated if you were also as a client. Everyone there was so nice and super friendly. You're going to see Luis's the owner puppy just roaming around the salon like there's no care in the world. A pocket of cuteness! Keep a lookout for Alexis when she is official in a few months and I hope you get to have her as your colorist because she is talented and very passionate. Passionate people who love their jobs will do an amazing job and will make sure you are happy before you walk out that elevator. I love my hair!

The hair stylist and colorist were excellent, however my experience with the reception desk afterwards was anything but that. I came up to pay for the visit, they ran my card, i asked for a receipt which they gave me and I put everything away and proceed to tip, a few minutes later the receptionist asked to see my card again, claiming it did not go through. I gave her the card but remembered I had the receipt from earlier that showed the payment did indeed go through. So I gave it to her and explained the transaction went through. She looked at it, tore it up and threw it in the garbage and swiped my card again without giving me a new receipt. I'd like to believe it was just a mistake but it also felt extremely scammy especially her throwing out initial receipt that showed a completed payment. I don't know if they hope people don't check their CC statements closely. Even though I really liked my hair stylist/colorist I just can't go to a place that scams people like that. When I called to let them know they ran my card twice, I was told they have to check with accountant first and it might take a day or so. I have a credit card statement that shows it was ran twice.... No apology, nothing.Services: Hair highlighting

My first experience at Mizu was wonderful!!! The salon was recommended to me by a friend. I took a look at their website before booking my appointment and went in with very high expectations. I was not disappointed! The salon is gorgeous, very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly, accommodating and very knowledgeable. I will definitely be back. I highly recommend Mizu to anyone who is looking for a good hairstylist in New York City or Boston!

I had gotten my hair colored here 5 years ago and had a decent experience. So I came back to get my hair extensions done. I get them done every three months and always get the same similar color same length. We agreed on the price color and length. When I got there the hair way shorter than the length agree. I asked him to adjust the price and he refused. So I walked out of the Solon without my service. There was never any apology and I had to fight them to get my deposit back and finally recovers it a week later after calling several times. This is not the way to do business. And I wish I had saved my self the headache. I felt scammed.

I had the BEST experience at mizu from the moment I walked into the salon. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Brittani did a fabulous reverse balayage, she listened to everything I said, and gave me a blonde perfect for my complexion. I couldn’t be happier with it, and my Stylist was Zeena who also corrected my hair cut & gave me the best blow that lasted all week! They are truly masters, I can’t wait to return xo
