Story

The MN ACTING STUDIO is a cutting edge acting school located in the Garment District in Manhattan, focused on training actors for TV and film in New York City. The studio was founded by actor and acting coach Matt Newton, who is the on-set acting coach for the CBS show "Blue Bloods," as well as an expert industry contributor for Backstage magazine, and the author of "10 Steps to Breaking Into Acting." Matt has been an actor for over 15 years, guest starring on countless tv shows, including "Criminal Minds," "Drake and Josh Go Hollywood", "Royal Pains," "The Americans" and "Ugly Betty," to name a few.

We offer affordable acting classes and the best private acting coaching for actors of all levels. We are founded upon the idea of “learning by doing”, giving our actors a unique, no-nonsense approach focused on emotional truth and honesty, combining the study of the craft of on-camera acting, with the practical business side of acting. Our teachers are working actors who are highly trained, experienced, focused on offering our clients valuable insider insight, and knowledge into the current entertainment industry from an actor’s perspective.
